In the shadow of an ailing Emperor, his young and untested son rises to power, sending shockwaves through a populace already plagued by unrest and pushing the largest city in Rokugan to the brink of disaster. In the face of anarchy, a band of heroes gathers for the coronation. Strange magic and mysterious advisers set them on the trail of a common foe—a path that draws them into a struggle to save the Empire from ruin. Amid the intrigues of sages and generals, samurai and thieves, it's up to these new heroes to decides whether the rule of a new monarch will usher in a new age of glory or a reign of chaos. This campaign is a homebrew adaptation of "Oriental Adventures," set loosely to the events of the Pathfinder adventure path "Curse of the Crimson Throne" - converted to D&D 5th Edition. Set in the world of Rokugan, it is a fantasy mirror to Feudal Japan. The concept of Good versus Evil is replaced by Honor versus Dishonor. Heroes are expected to uphold the Imperiel tenets of Bushido, a philosophy of honor and loyalty, or suffer the stigma of being a social outcast. IMPORTANT NOTICE: I am a stickler for player maturity, roleplaying and dedication. Please read the Player Applications forum in the link below before posting, as it lists the instructions. Failure to follow those instructions will result in your post being completely ignored. New players are welcome, as long as you are active and dedicated to character development and roleplaying.
