Date: 20th Harvester 609 CY Attendance: Wulrakas, Cat, Alena, Daron, Virgil ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recap: Entering Crow Town, the group is greeted by a strange collection of villagers. All possess the same look: an unnerving gaze and scrawny, withered forms. These peasants have no doubt seen their fare share of hardship. The only one who stands out is the Mayor; he dresses in the regalia afforded by a man well above his station, and his dismissive claim of a "wyvern attack" (in regards to the encounter the party just faced) shows someone that's out of touch with reality. Still, he allows the group to stay in Crow Town for the time being. They travel to the Inn. The patrons here are similar to those encountered outside. Wulrakas makes the mistake of removing his helmet, terrifying all present. Thankfully the local bard -- a nervous little halfling -- manages to play it off as a costume, and presents Wulrakas as part of his new act. While the others drink amongst themselves, Wulrakas and the Halfling go upstairs to talk. There Wulrakas reveals his reasons for coming to Crow Town, though somewhat vaguely. The Halfling says that the two red-clad women he seeks have been spotted in the town just a day prior. He agrees to help if Wulrakas promises to free him from his captors; apparently the townsfolk have kept him here without consent, and he finds himself a prisoner. Outside, after escaping in the opposite direction during the dragon attack, Daron discovers the town gates and he enters. He reunites with the party just as Wulrakas and the Halfling return. Cat, meanwhile, befriends one of the strays that calls the Blackwing Inn home; she soon falls paw-over-heels in love with him, thanks to his amazing display of capturing nearly twenty mice. Suddenly the door bursts from its hinges. In steps an eccentric woman with a rooster-shaped cap; she proclaims knowing of the party's coming, and she immediately attacks all those present. A difficult battle ensues but, despite the odds, Red Rooster (as she calls herself) is burned alive. Her underlings manage to subdue all but Cat, however, and they begin to drag the unconscious bodies away...
