Art won't Delete

So I went through steps 1-3 and cleared cache and did all sorts of other things to try and solve this.   So please at this point give me something solid- I've troubleshot this and checked forums and worked on it for 4-5 hours.   I am on Chrome- no extensions windows 7.  I've tried it on multiple computers, and different browsers, etc.  (firefox, windows 10, etc)    I uploaded like 400 small .gif files that I got from the old Vassal Star Wars minis game.  The maps worked (they were in .jpg)   And the gifs didn't work.  I was a little bummed out- but I decided just to delete all of the art.  At first I tried doing the select all, delete all.   It didn't work.   Then I deleted them ONE at a time, which took A LONG time.   IT appeared to have worked, but when I close roll20 and go back into it, they come back.  I can delete them over and over- they just come back- and they are all broken.    We are supposed to play today, and I have nothing done for my game because I'm spending all my time trying to fix roll20.

Can you provide screen shots of the process you're going through deleting and it not working?
