1. I want to pass out my own character sheet to my players. How do I do this SKYPE? 2. Is there a way to set it up to where I could access this character sheet by way of a link or maybe Google?
In D&D 4E when Players want to play monster PCs. How do you determine stat changes just by looking at the monster in question (example) +2 to DEX / + 2 to STR

In reply to the first question. Use Google doc. I've been told that is the most easiest way to swap files about as needed. Skype usually have to have both computers running and online at the same time but with Google doc everyone can grab the sheet as they need it. I could be wrong with my understanding but it doesn't hurt to look into it. On another note, there are people that don't have or use skype.
are you talking about google hang out & google drive ?

Yeah. Sorry about that.
1) you can download a program called Cutepdf which acts as a fake printer but instead of printing it saves the file as a pdf. Google drive or rapidshare are probably easier to use. 3) Typically those creatures that can be PC races have their stat mods listed along with their racial power. If they don't there is no real rule though you can use the rule as presented in 3.5 which is take their stats and minus 11 if the stat is odd or 10 if it is even. Don't know how well it will work in 4e as I have never had to do it.
By subtracting the 10 or 11 you determine the stat's bonus so a creature with an 18 dex would have a +8 to dex. Once again, not sure how well this translates in 4e.

I guess the old school in me is cringing at seeing an 18 being +8 bonus. I know in the the system I use +2 is a 17 stat.
There are a few classes I know that translate well into player characters by giving regular bonuses like Githyanki +2 CON and INT, +2 history, and then some class bonus stuff. I made a Changeling character recently. You just use regular methods like allocating points. Besides that, I'm still very new at the monster to player character.

Which system is that Metroknight? - Gauss
Metroknight said: I guess the old school in me is cringing at seeing an 18 being +8 bonus. I know in the the system I use +2 is a 17 stat. I think he means that an 18 score is a +8 adjustment to the base score of 10 or 11, not a +8 to hit, to damage , to AC, etc.
1. I want to pass out my own character sheet to my players. How do I do this SKYPE? I mostly prefer using DROPBOX. You can share anything through it, it does not depend on all parties being connected at the same time, and it helps you keep track of documents (you can for example restore documents deleted by mistake, or go back to a previous version). You also get an online (cloud-based) storage area you can use to keep your other stuff. If you use my link we will both obtain an extra 500mb of storage space on top of the basic 3GB of the free account, and then you can share your own link with your players and you get 500mb for each of them who singns in: http://db.tt/j0jFzQQ

Don D. , the align to grid feature is intended for square grids. To align a hex grid I have a guide here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3688/map-alignment-and-you-or-101-ways-to-get-your-grids-in-a-row The long and short is, you can use the Scalers to get the map grid close to the Roll20 grid and then the Set Dimensions tool to incrementally change the map to match the grid. If you need help with this send me a Join link and I can come show you how. - Gauss

hey Don there was a discussion on the wizards of the coast community boards about the armor. Here is the thread link : http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19609770/Armor_confusion . It is rather old but one of the posts mentions an outrageous price for a basic +6 Magic Starweave armor. The post shows 1,125,000 in gold for it. Says something about it being a level 26 armor but don't play the system so I don't know if it is right.
Players Handbook page 227-231. It gives the generic prices for magic items. 1,125,000 gold is the generic price for a +6 piece of armor. Godplate is extremely powerful masterwork armor, and the armor has to be +6 Godplate or higher.
1. what is the difference between +4 Leather Armor & + 4 Feyleather or Starleather armor other than the Armor bonus what is the special property of these Armors before you add the enhancement? 2, Here is another problem does Feyleather Armor, Darkhide armor,Forgemail, etc cost the same they are all min enchant +4 meaning at least the cost of a + 4 Armor
"Certain kinds of armor are made according to arcane and esoteric methods that involve weaving magic into the substance of the armor. These masterwork armors never appear except as magic armor (see page 227), and even then only at the highest levels (16th and above). The various kinds of masterwork armor fall into the same categories as mundane armor and have similar statistics, but they have a higher armor bonus than their mundane counterparts. The cost of masterwork armor is included in the cost of magic armor." Straight from PHB. What's the difference? Masterwork armor, those such as the Feyleather or Starleather category, have higher bonuses but must for Feyleather be +4 or higher and Starleather +6 or higher. Example: Bloodcut Feyleather +4 ----3(Fey)+4 bonus =7 AC Bloodcut Leather +4 -----2(Leather)+4 bonus=6 AC Both items have the same power, but Feyleather is masterwork with bonus to AC. As for price, I don't know how to determine it. Masterwork are extremely special, and I don't know how the calculation works when take with a base price of a +4 magic item and make it masterwork.
All magic items are masterwork. What is the price if just masterwork.? What is the effect of masterwork in 4E? What is the special property's of these armors before they are masterwork or enchanted ( example) in 3.5 if I bought +1 mithral chainmail I know its master worked I know its +4 AC bonus +1 enhancement for total +5 Armor plus I can look up the special properties of mithral
