Submit your ideas for RPG ezine & VTT content

I am the lead designer and owner of a new startup company called "Rocket Propelled Games", we are designing terrain, maps, gaming aides, tokens, adventure modules and pretty much anything elae we can think of. We are also producing a free e-zine that will include articles or GMing as well as other helpful subjects. There will also be some free premium content included in each issue , including things like tokens or map pieces to use in roll20. Now that you know what we're doing, lets get on to the purpose of this thread. We are asking for your input on the content that we produce, give us ideas of what kinds of maps, tokens , and gaming aides you would like to see. If you have interesting adventure ideas you would like us to develop, we would be interested in that as well. Also, any ideas for articles or anything that you would like to see in the ezine go ahead and let us know. We are accepting reader material, if you want to create content for or subscribe to the ezine send us an email to rocketpropelledgames@yahoo.com
Here is an idea for token artists, this suggestion would be for top down character tokens. I would like to see sets of tokens for a PC that would include the following poses: With Melee Weapon, With Range Weapon, Dead, Sleeping, Sitting, Mounted, and Maybe Drinking, etc. These would be the same Character in these several different poses. Just a thought for token designers.
I have made most of my tokens on foot and mounted. Having more poses seems quite a good idea. But, to be really helpful, it would need a way to implement the changes of pose. I mean, I have used my tokens in Maptool. I made a macro that did let me swap a token with another one, whilst keeping the token identity on the map (the name, stats, position,...). Basically, I pushed a button and the foot version was replaced by the mounted version. I can imagine your idea with a control to choose between several versions of the same token. But I have no idea on how to implement it in Roll20. Certainly not with a macro, because they can not access the token image. @Jeremy: I'll certainly shall be interested to have a look at your e-zine. It seems quite a good idea. I would be interested to have peoples making maps or tokens describing their workflow. As there are more and more peoples making stuff for VTTs, I hope there shall be more exchanges between them. I had proposed that a dedicated forum could be open here for maps and tokens designers, around the marketplace. As one is going to appear somewhere anyway, I thought that it would have been an advantage for Roll20 to have it linked with their site (like One-Monk site regroups all the cardboard figures designers http://cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/) They don't seem interested though.
Even without being able to cycle through different tokens quickly, I do see how having many different poses would enhance the mood of the game, (ie. not every guard in the same pose) I would definitely like it if roll20 hosted a subforum for VTT resource creation, but if they dont, no biggie, Ill just have to host it myself once my site is up and running. What would be convenient is a way for the gm to quick cycle through tokens with a key stroke like alt-s or something of that nature. We would definitely be glad to formulate some articles on map and token creation. The more feedback we get from the community the better, it promotes ideas, innovation and points us in the direction you want us to go.

That is, as you already know, doable by enabling tokens to store multiple, varied versions of "themselves" in "themselves" (as well). In some virtual tabletops, this is called (alternate) token status images. I've seen this working fine without needing any macro, but instead uploading the different token status images and being able to shift to any of them just by opening a menu by right-clicking on the token that is harboring the alternate images of itself.
Unfortunately I have no means of implementing that since in not on the roll20 dev team. I can however produce fun and interesting content to use on roll20.
Oh sorry, actually I wasn't asking you to implement that :) Only speaking of the idea, and, of course, as a suggestion for the Roll20 Team.
Anybody have any ideas on the types of adventure modules and maps that they would like to see? Or article content?
