GM Style: -Lot of RP opportunities and I encourage my players to look for outside-the-box solutions to challenges. ---BUT, I do not railroad players into the main plot and if you wander aimlessly and don't ask questions or have good RP reasons for your actions you may just end up with a dungeon crawl for the night, depending on where you happen to go. -------If that happens, please remember, you did it to yourselves. -Rules are generally followed, but I am more likely to make a ruling than interrupt play to lookup a specific rule when I am unsure. ---BUT, if the rules are presented to me, I will remember for the future, and sometimes modify my ruling to better align with them. ------I maintain the right to intentionally fudge rules for better game balance. This is particularly evident in enemy combat stats as the enemy you need to fight is rarely the enemy with the right CR for your level/group/occasion. -Having an awesome backstory will give your character more advantages than min-maxing, so I am not overly concerned about "overpowered" characters in my games. ---BUT, don't be an ass about it. Generally donkeys = bad. -The group is not optional. If you don't like what the group is doing, convince them to do something else. Also, see above. Game Stuff: -Campaign expected to last several months, possibly years. -Voice and Text. Speaking optional. Must be able to listen. Must be on Skype. -I realize it is short notice, but I would prefer a player who can be ready with a posted backstory, image, and character by 5pm tomorrow and is able to log on to the game room and Skype by 6pm for pre-game intro/background. I will be checking later tonight for players who would be interested in trying to meet that requirement. -If you join, I have some general summaries for the game so far posted in the game forum. I expect you to read them. -The world is standard high magic, the gods that created the world are no longer active and barely known anymore, but numerous new pantheons have taken a hand in affairs, allowing any type of social/religious grouping in the backstory for the character. -The world exists in a multiverse and some characters have come from other planes with different world/rules, so creating a background that fits in the existing world is not an issue.
