Return To The Hidden Cairn

MISSION: Return To The Hidden Cairn TYPE: LIVE 1/21/2016: 730 PM EST Return to the hidden cairn to find out what other secrets it holds. What is the meaning of the sarcophagus and what are the strange lights hanging from chains and what is this place?

The party explored the cairn further and found a secret room by riding some sort of lift down below the earth .. what they discovered was amazing! Their story is detailed below You will be rewarded 1 MP and one of the following items for successfully posting a story of your adventure in character You also each receive a detailed building sculpture that when used in the device allows you to see the details of building such a building (A list of buildings will become apparent later.  For now you may select building 1-6 and indicate which number you have) Also list what you choose as your reward A)  Air mattress - This provides double the benefit of GOOD rest when placed in a home (you must have a bedroom built)     I will be detailing REST in a bit but basically it will give up to 4x level hp and cure 2 points of ability damage and removed exhaustion and fatigue    These beds also have a benefit of granting a +4 bonus to attempts to remove disease, curse or poison cast on you if slept on 8 hours for that day B)   Goggles of Minute Seeing C)  Chalice of Sustaining - Provides 3 meals and drinks per day in the form of a delicious savory broth The town receives a device that allows you to place small items in them and it blows them up to amazing size and detail Post your adventure below please :)

Kellen made due with his sketch of the first building, and the actual second. maybe if he called a friend over from the new world they could make sense of this construction together. ancient things were truly fascinating. He would also have to take his friend to the cairn next time to check out that lift.  "that weird spinning tomb was sure interesting. Next time we come by, i want to visit that earth elemental again. I found his chapter in my language book, and while confusing, it sure is neat,"   Kellen starts making grindy noises as he speaks terran. (OOC Kellen chose bed)

What was going to be an exploration to see some ancient tomb ended up being a surreal adventure. Although she wouldn't admit it, Prytania is not too smart, and everything down there weirded her out quite a bit. That didn't help when she tried to explain to Henry what she saw. " You see, there was... I can't even explain, nothing is what it seems. *clears her voice*  It's a ruin, ok? And the people who lived there used common objects... But they used them in a totally different way "   - Prytania, almost defeated, shrugged and started explaining what she saw: " I know, I know, it makes no sense... Well, a sarcophagus is a key to a contraption, a box is... A box that creates illusions of what you introduce in it,  they have sticks that have... Kellen called them buttons... Earth elemental slaves transform into spheres and back..." -She stopped to laugh after seeing Henry's confused face - "And that's not the best part, no! - Prytania explained the next part gesturing wildly - There was this... Spory, freezing goo that reacted super fast to temperature. Long story short, after some freeze burns, it... crawled into this chalice that after some tests, and a purify spell... Well, you won't believe it, but it fills with soup! It doesn't taste too bad either if you don't think too much where it came from" (OOC Prytania chooses the Chalice)

     Ren's Journal - Week Three Day 5 (or whenever)      It's times like these where I'm glad I force myself to write down journals, I have just returned from a mission. A large compound exists below the ground, and from what I've seen so far it has been quite the place. I do not pretend to be a excavator or architect, but even I was impressed by the sights down there. In case I have forgotten I will quickly summarize what I have seen.      First off I went with a few other people from the camp. Suffice it to say that I may not have been the most useful member there. A good amount of the party had been there before. Regardless, the first object of interest that we encountered was a sarcophagus. An interesting contraption that we needed to turn in order to open a hole. It seemed very advanced. We did not finish investigating it, but I feel that it holds more mysteries unsolved...     As it turns out the sarcophagus opened up a lift which we used to travel even lower. There was much down there but notably there were incredibly detailed models of buildings and such. As we went on we found what I consider the most mysterious object in the place. There was a contraption that enlarged whatever was put in it. Very impressive, whomever or whatever built the place was much more advanced than us.      Regardless there was also this earth elemental. It seemed to serve a master long ago. I think it is reasonable to say it had been there for much longer than my own life. It referred to a "master" which I can only assume was the master of that area.      It's late and I've brought back a bed with me from the place so I'm going to have to cut this journal short to figure out where this is going to go. There were many interesting objects to take out and the others all preferred the other choices so I figured I would just take the bed. Upon closer inspection this is a much higher quality than normal beds if you can believe that... If I sleep on this every day my back to going to kill, but it will be useful to keep around.      Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of this mysterious place.      January 20th of the First Year of Landing     - Ren Shiba  (Ren chooses the Bed - Air Mattress) 

(chalice of sustaining if i get the benefit after dropping out half way through) I'm not quite sure what was there but whatever it was.... well it was advanced. They had floating shapes that looked like minature houses..... though not any houses we would make. and the spinning sarcophagus? Well that's exactly what it sounds like exept manual. Oh yes there was also the elevator or lift as Kellen called it. It let us go up and down without having to use stairs." After that Zordlon leaves Agelas shop as he's finished telling her about what he witnessed.

Eilif wasn't sure what to make of most of her new-found comrades. Whatever they were here to do, however, she needed to find a way to work with them to achieve it. Good thing she did! She was awarded with seeing many wondrous things, including an amazing golem. She was only disappointed it couldn't be removed from the ruin. It would make a fascinating object for study, and possibly even conversation. I'm sure there is a lot more to be found there. The ruin had more lift mechanisms like the one they used. At least it appeared it did in her estimation. I can't wait to go back and look around some more. And maybe we can find a way to remove the golem from being imprisoned there. (I'll take the... Bed.
