I'm assuming you're using a hex grid. When disabling the grid when having a hex grid and restarting the game, it stops working. If not a problem, you could just put things as square grid and just disable the grid anyways and it will keep working. Not sure if has been reported before, but I've noticed this behavior for over a year.
Actually i'v been trying to use the gridless board. I had been using it but never really been a fan. Toggling the grid on and off now and then does seem to fix it but so far it's looking easier just to quickly measure out a ruler token and use that.
Even if you disable the grid, you still have a drop down selecting either Square or Hex. I notice the bug only when hex is selected. Can you confirm if you're getting the error when its on square?
This is as clear as I can put it. When HEX Grid type is selected, after grid is disabled it only works during that session. After restarting the browser window and reloading the session it stops working. Reenabling/Redisabling grid makes it work again.
