After depositing Alice's ward with the
Valkyries, the party decides to track down Beadle. Rod places 500 cr
bounty on Mr Beadle with Cash Claw. Seeing that he is no longer at
his alley, they decide to check in with Galilea. She has no idea
where he at but she show her approval that Yaz and Joseph have
decided to run for President.
Before returning to the base, Rodworth
visits a tailor and have an overcoat made with multiple pocket that
can hole T90. Arriving back at the base, the team is greeted by Dr
Eyes who inform the the party that they have multiple phone calls,
first by news reporters interested in what the Neon Tigers future
plans, and also by Mr Beadle, requesting a meet on Pinnacle station.
The team calls their Freight handler to
arrange for a cargo for Pinnacle station along with the load to
Maltar station. In the morning as the party departs, a mob of news reporters swarms toward the team, Rodworth see that they are not news
reporters and their cameras are actually weapons. The team unloads
finding that the attackers are not reacting normalyl to damage being
inflicted. After the battle is over they find the attackers are
wearing exoskeleton, and the one survivor is apparently heavily drug.
The party returns to Galilea who
detoxify the survivor and they found that last thing he remembers is
going to buy drugs from the Winds..
The party continue to Pinnacle station,
where they meet with Beagle. He apologies to the team stating that he
was only attempting to thins the field of contenders for President
and he begins supply information on the Maltars, such as pirate
groups in port and on the Winds, confirming that the Winds are
drugging customers and using them to commit hits for hire.
The team continues onto Maltar station,
where they are greeted. The Maltar's men attempts to but the party at
eases,giving them a prime docking position. Waiting for them is an
Ambassador who exchanges pleasantries and invites the party to
dinner in two days time. Rodworth ask about Alice and is told she is
indisposed. The Ambassador also arranges to ship a cargo of robot
brains in order to earn the team good will.
When arrive back on the planet,
Rodworth brides a custom inspector 200 cr to ease their inspection of
their cargo, upon unloading brain, their Freight agent inform them
that the cargo of brains will get the party 20,000 cr along with 100
cr for their first delivery to Pinnacle station.
