A Rouge named Sharon

Hi everyone! I made this account for the sole reason of asking this question and hopefully convince a few friends of mine to use this system in order to improve attendance on our weekly dnd gaming. I hope that I have put this question into the correct area, please let me know if i have screwed something up. I have an idea for a DND 5th E char that I have a couple ideas on how to operate with the help of my DM, but i would like to hear what the community has to say about it. My Idea is to tell all the other players that I am playing a rouge and do all the actions of a rouge for the party (sneaking, opening locks, sneak attack with daggers, ect.) but in reality the character is in disguise as a rouge and is actually a spell caster of some sort (not sure which will work the best). I want to have Sharon run up to enemies and deal damage to them in a way that looks like (possibly illusion) im doing sneak attack dagger attacks, but in reality ill be doing something like firebolt or shocking grasp or some other spell. same thing with opening locks. use the knock spell perhaps, but to everyone else in the room make it look like im picking the lock. At some point i expect the other characters in my party to catch onto this ploy at which point I may have to reveal my dark backstory of how im running from some powerful organization and I figured that if i changed my entire apperance as well as my class then it would be easier to hide. My current plans are either to: 1: use illusions and spells to, with the help of the DM to make this work story-wise and mechanically, or 2: create a character sheet for the start of the game and play the character as a rogue, but at some point reveal my true powers and switch the character (maybe 6th level or something) into a illusions spell casters. the major benefit i see to doing number 2 is that it would be much easier to mechanically figure out. but the benefit i see to #1 would be that i could continue to act as a rouge even after revealing myself to the other members of the party while still being in hiding from the evil forces that are trying to find me. what do you think of the character background?? any thoughts on mechanics? THANKS FOR READING AND COMMENTING!
This is not a character sheet, but an idea for a character.  Thus, it would be better served on LFG sub-forum.  Unless you somehow need the coding of the character sheet changed to accommodate this character, I at least, can't help you. Also,  Rouge , is a cosmetic used to color the cheeks and emphasize the cheekbones.  Rogue is a dishonest or unprincipled man or woman.

Mechanically, I might emulate this by using two Characters ( with the Shaped sheet ). For the Character that represents the Spellcaster, have all output options whispered to the GM. When you take an action that requires pressing a sheet button (e.g. making a check), use that button on both of the sheets, and have the GM ignore the one that isn't whispered.
