Date: 24th Harvester 609 CY Attendance: Wulrakas, Cat, Jareth, Virgil, Alena. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recap: Group splits from the Wayward Dolphin and returns to Jareth's hovel. Cat convinces Mr. Scruffles (Jareth's cat) to accompany them to the Thieves Guild. Upon departing the hovel, Jareth finds a note written in blood that says quite simply: STOP. After resting at an Inn, they return to the Promenade District blacksmith to retrieve Cat's new armor. Now looking like some bizarre chitinous mini-wolf, Cat and the others head towards the Beggar's Mug, where they believe the hidden entrance to the Thieves' Guild is located. Before they leave Jareth pays off the blacksmith to divulge some information: he learns that the dagger used to pin the STOP note was crafted for Jareth's landlord, Victor. At the Beggar's Mug the party finds a grate leading down. They climb down into a sewer -- which is strange, considering that Keoland has no known sewer systems. After wading through knee-deep sewage, they find a secret entrance behind a waterfall of disgusting water. Wulrakas smashes the gate down and they proceed forward, finding some skeletal remains before entering large room. Here they fight a strange sewer mummy and his skeletal minions; Mr. Scruffles is eaten alive by a swarm of insects, making the Cat Army mortality rate 100%. Cat's new armor also saves him from death. Alena finds a soccer-ball sized ruby in the mummy's sarcophagus, and they proceed to exit through a metal ladder leading to a hatch in the ceiling. The crawl up into a room full of vast treasures. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Experience: Alena – 7,000 XP (110,650 XP total) LEVEL UP 12 Wulrakas - 7,000 XP (183,750 XP total) Virgil - 7,000 XP (154,850 XP total) Cat - 7,000 XP (157,500 XP total) Jareth - 7,000 XP (133,500 XP total) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loot: 4,315 gold pieces from various parts of the world (mostly Keoish currency) 3,502 silver pieces from various parts of the world (mostly Keoish currency) 2,128 copper pieces from various parts of the world (mostly Keoish currency) Strange Gnomish Spear This spear is nonmagical, but its design suggests something interesting. A small button on the metal shaft causes the spear tip to become a grappling hook. Steel rope coiled within the spear's shaft then springs out, launching the grappling hook up to sixty feet. Another press of the button retracts the coil towards the grappling hook. Mechanical: as an action you can launch the grappling hook up to sixty feet, then pull yourself sixty feet in that direction as a bonus action. Magical Short Sword This short sword is obviously magical, but its properties have yet to be determined. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes: Sorry it sucked. :[
