Fort Boulder Breaker: What the hell is going on.

He checks around to make sure the barback and all the rest of the staff are far out of earshot. "There seems to be a great deal of confusion around Fort Boulder Breaker and Lord Ivanson. I am sure that you have all figured out that Lord Ivanson had nothing to do with the heist. His goal lies in a conquest of the Giant lands in the north. I spread the rumor of him seeking to gain an alliance with the Giants to start a new civil war, but now I am getting notes that this is actually happening, and that Ivanson is now planning something against Bollrim. We need to separate fact from fiction for ourselves. What do you all know?"

"Turki, have you already forgotten how we first found out about Lord Ivanson and met Iskelliad in the first place? Soldiers were deserting the Fort and discipline was weak. Ivanson was looking to start a war in order to earn a promotion."  "Then, we found a bunch of soldiers with the beast-man Iskelliad. Not a coincidence. He has been planning to take over the Fort for some time, by encouraging the deserters and training them. Now he has it. He is in charge of the Fort. He claimed that he served the Empire during the Rebellion, and Fort Boulder Breaker is his reward. An unlikely story. Unless you have seen Ivanson recently, you'd better assume he is already dead. The new soldiers at the Fort now show discipline. I do not know what Iskelliad is up to, but I want no part of it. The coins must go, but how . . . " "If someone . . . wanted to stir up trouble, or find out more, the next step would be to ask Knight Jericho about it. I'm sure he'd want to know about the change of leadership at the Fort, if he doesn't already."

"Last I heard Ivanson was in Udro, because of the suspicions around him regarding the Great Fire Heist. Not sure if it will stick. When last I passed Fort Boulder Breaker, I visited his tower. There was no one there and the room was ransacked, presumably by the Imperial Tradesman Guild/Udro authorities. No sign of Ikselliad. All of his papers were about trying to attack the Giants, presumably for gold and fame and to make a name for himself with the Empire. I spread the rumors of his alliance to throw more confusion into the mix. "But you are now telling me that Ikselliad is there and in control of the fort? That is news to my ears."

Turki pulls Illoa aside during the festivities. "I hate to bring the party down, but I must warn you. We visited Fort Boulder Breaker during our journey. The Black Knight, who now calls himself Borden, is there. And seems to be the new right hand man for jackal smiled friend. Things are moving quickly, and I believe we are about to get swept up into something serious."
