LFG | GMT player looking for a break from high-fantasy

Hello there ladies and gentlemen! So long story short, I've killed one too many orcs in a field, shocking to say I know but I feel like maybe the job has lost some of the charm that it once had. So, I'm looking for a change of pace! Now this obviously isn't going to be very helpful and... well honestly I don't know how explain what I want concisely so allow me to provide a (hopefully) short list of things I'd like. Tone: Ideally I'm looking for something darker (and grittier!) than most games, I don't necessarily want my character to feel like the big hero all the time, that's not to say that I don't mind levity or humour but I don't really want to be feeling confident about strolling into a dragon's lair. Dark comedy is very much a plus though! Focuses: I suppose ideally horror, investigation and politics, maybe with a healthy dose of combat mixed in but I'm much more interested in playing roles than I am rolling to play. Settings: Whilst I'm ok with being pitched some fantasy style lands, I'm honestly more in the mood for a modern, futuristic, sci-fi or post-apocalyptic setting. Games: These aren't the only suggestions I'll take, just the ones which spring to mind for me. Call of Cthulhu, Shadowrun, World of Darkness and although it's something a bit different (not really hinted at by any of the above) I'd love to play Paranoia. I can't manage any games on Sunday and as a GMT player please keep in mind if your game is running in another timezone it may mean that the game you're asking me to attend may be at an inconvenient time for me. Otherwise feel free to throw your pitches at me! Edit: I should mention, I'm pretty new to most systems, I have plenty of experience, I'm a fast learner and I've watched plenty of games being played but if you're not willing to deal with a relatively new player to most games, you should perhaps avoid me!
I find myself in the mood to run another game.  While my first choice is probably to close to what you are avoiding, I may be able to come up with something for FATE or Cypher System.  With the possibility of The Strange.  I am in EST USA.  However if you have Saturday nights free, then I may be able to help you.
I'm afraid FATE and Cypher are a couple of systems I'm unfamiliar and I've never even heard of "The Strange" but Saturdays are a free day with me, it's only Sunday I can't consider.
What would you think of a game of The Strange, a "dimension" hopping game, where the group starts in a world based on what if the Nazis had won?  The main point of the game would be to keep the horrors of the Eleventh Reich contained with other adventure on the side.
Well dimension hopping sounds like fun but I'd like to research the game a little before I commit to anything.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Another option for you is the new World of Darkness (or Chronicles of Darkness).  I'm wanting to play/learn that system so that I can either run one-shots or a campaign wherein players investigate crimes involving supernatural occurrences.  If you've listened to Shit Luck  or Chagrin  played by Knights of the Night , then you're familiar with what I'm going for.  Like yourself, I would also like to do something involving investigation, gritty horror and political intrigue pulling from media such as Hateful Eight (gritty whodunnit), X-files (supernatural investigation) and World War Z (big conspiracy type of movie).  If you end up finding something that fits that bill, let me know.  Otherwise, perhaps we can get together and maybe get something going in the way of learning nWoD and I can GM or something.
