[5e SRD] spell damage - strength

Hi I'm trying to fill a spellbook for a druid and any spell I fill seems to be adding the strength bonus to the spell damage and doesn't roll to hit. Spells that are added through the compendium are all right but if i fill the fields in the exact the same manner, it doesn't work. Does anyone know how can i fix this? Also any change I introduce to the spell is not updated. So if I initiate a spell like this all I get is this: which is 1d6+strength bonus. And any change I introduce to it doesn't seem to apply
