All of my background images got eaten!

I'm not sure exactly what I did to bring this problem about. I had recently opened and edited a handout by attempting to re-upload an image (one unrelated to the page with this broken map). I had recently plugged in a LAN cable while still remaining connected to wireless. The attached file shows what used to be a map I had made for a moving labyrinth. Now, all of the textures are gone, replaced by 'broken image' signs. I'm using Chrome 18.0.1025.168 m on a Windows 7 machine.
That, at least to me, looks suspiciously like Windows being Windows. I'd suspect it has something to do with connecting to the wired network. I'm going to put on my Network Admin hat for a second, and kill all the obvious solutions. Close your browser window, re-open and reconnect. Didn't solve it? Have you tred turning it off and on again? Still adventuring in a land of broken images? Try dropping a new object, does IT work? That's all I've got for now. Good luck!
Oh, and try clearing your cache, history and cookies. Even an ipconfig /flushdns (although that one's pretty unlikely)
Sorry, gotta post it... <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nn2FB1P_Mn8" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nn2FB1P_Mn8</a>
My friend had a similar problem. Basically anything that he or I upload from either of our computers can be seen by me, but not him. They become the same broken image that Max reported.
I got that same broken image randomly while searching the web for pictures. Developer tools reports that it could not load resource: 403 (forbidden). (Mine is probably just one of those sites that doesn't allow third-party requesting of images... It's a good picture too :( )
hmmm. We will be looking into this.
Max: Can you let us know which campaign this is in your account so we can take a quick look? I will determine if the images are really missing from our server or if it's just a connectivity issue on your end.
This happened to me today--and I'd just finished 2 of the 4 floors of the dungeon I was working on. Fortunately, they were fairly simple, and easy to rebuild. The images on the background layer still had placeholders, but had effectively become invisible. I also could not see any images that I uploaded today. Drawings in the background layer (e.g. by rectangle tool) stayed put. I'm running Vista, with Firefox.
I was playing with my group today and this happened to us, most of us were in the same room so we tried to investigate it a bit. In more than one case logging out and clearing the cache actually broke a previously working connection. This happened in our primary game campaign and then we reopened a couple of test campaigns we'd used while learning the system, and the problem was there as well. The computers involves were running a mixture of Chrome and Firefox, and the problem was present on both Windows and Mac OS. Also, we noticed that new images could be uploaded and appeared properly, it was just the previously stored images that had the issue. Looking at my campaign currently everything is working properly, both the previously loaded images and the stuff I added during the issue.
I think this may have been an issue with our CDN provider. We've switched to a different system, so let me know if you're still seeing this issue from now on. Thanks!
There is only one campaign associated with my acct: Carleton Adventure Time. The problem seems to be fixed, too.
