Being able to use underscore.js is what makes the relatively basic development tools available for the API tolerable. Unfortunately, the version in use is something like 3 years old. There are a whole load of really useful functions that aren't available, and it's very frustrating. Not only that, using such an old version makes it hard for people developing against the API to even know what they can and can't use - they have to go and dig out the historical docs for the previous version to know what works. It would seem like a really quick win to update the library so we can use the new features!
