Season 3 episode 01 - Blood Crescent ... a better Droaam than Droaam? Admiral Heron ships the team down to Blood Crescent to help purge the vampire problem... the town is buildt in on and around a titan helmet  only about 1200 people remain in the town mainly clustered inside the fortress built inside the helmet's cave like hollow space. there's river outlets... two of them.. that lead into the underground river that connects blood cresent to friendfell, kashakant and the Burning Keep.  the team leaves that to the admiral to explore while our heroes poke around top side.. a slew of orc guards are harrassed , tricked, beat up and otherwise incapacitated as the team pokes at the rather meager attendence at the front gate and wall that cant stop ships from flying in...  Mika's dragonmark verifies the vamps aren't nesting above ground.. but she's too far out of the town to get a lock where underground. poking around the outskirt towns, all the oxen have been bled dry and left for black poodles to monj on . its winter time, but the team find potato farmers digging up taters to feed the remining familes that were assumed to be held captive, but the vamps are running some sort of confidnce shceme that if they succumb to the will of the vamp nest and helpp the remaining families be food ... then the most "patriotic" citizens will be elevated to the "outer circle" where they can become vampires and live for ever. Rau'au'ul the farmer confirms this is all true... Frank the Legend was made a full vampire and is one of the Trusted Four of the community under Bloody Poodle's leadership.  Town General Shlur is one of the Trusted Four but two of the members are not identified yet.   There's a weekly rally (2 nights from now) where community progress is reported and the next week's tasks are divvied out to strtengthen the township. Admiral Heran reports one of his carrier ships has been downed... a red spell storm swept along Rotting Blade towards inland... Kashakant, perhaps Burning Keep... this is very frequent considering another spell storm hit rotting blade and rolled southwest towards Blood Crescent about a month ago as well... right aroud the time Bishop of the Devlourer arrived. This is where we leave the game for the next session. 2/3 way through level 10.
side notes: - the outer circle of patriotic citizens is capped at 100 potential spots for the time being, according to [Raul] the farmer 20(ish) of those spots have been filled. since nomination, exsanguination, molestation and elevation of patriots usually happens during or after the weekly meetings (yay spectacle) we are less likely to run across more then that - Admiral Heron requests help (if possible) with securing food supplies for his troops. there has been a distinct lack of yaks in the surrounding area. at least not in the kinds of numbers that one would expect - [Raul] sheds some light on the newbie vamp feeding habits. the newly elevated have more often then not chosen to feed upon livestock then their former neighbors. this may be tactics ... since newbies are more likely to fuck things up on their first feeding and juicebox their donors (and that's bad PR all around) or legitimate concern by the vamps for their donors - the abandoned outside village makes a lot more sense since we learn that the outside dirtfarmers were free to pick up prime real estate in the upscale abandoned neighborhoods inside the Helmet free of charge after the riots. compliance will be rewarded. - the available entrances into the helmet have been limited by controlled demolition of the side gates through the three faces. available entry points are through the main faceplate gate and over the wall, the back gate to the fields and through the apartment balconies several hundred feet above ground floor. alternatively one could follow the dried up riverbeds from the two underground river exits and enter the city from below. but seeing as "below" is just another word for "vampire feeding tunnel" that option is iffy.
