[LFP] 5e dnd Friday Nights

Last year when the civil war ended Last year it looked like there would be peace in the land. However in the north the land was ruled by dragons and in the years of fighting the border has become weak. Can the country of Orilund survive? I am looking for players in a weekly 5e dnd campaign.I plan on playing the game at 5pm pacific time on Fridays. All new players will be 1st level characters with 27 point buy for stats. Just about all races and classes are allowed except for the Aracockra (bird people).
I get off work at 5 so I'm game if you're alright with starting at six. I've played some d20 games in high school but I haven't tried 5e before. What's the difference between this system and Pathfinder?

In my opinion 5e is a more streamlined and balanced version of 3.5. You don't have to do all that much to have a build and they fixed the places where a wizard can break the game.Note I will ask my current players if they are okay with starting an hour later.
I think playing a jack of all trades would facilitate learning the system better. A ranger or rogue that has utility in exploration, social, and combat is going to be a help to any group. What's the main theme of your campaign and what are some things that you want to happen in it?
The title to my campaign is the wrath of dragons so there is going to be some dragon based stuff in the game. As for my play style I try to make it a balance between combat and role playing. As for stuff I want to have happen I have a few ideas but a lot of that is open to player input.
a civil war ..peace.. and dragons on the border were do i sigh up for this  fun fest :)
Is there some space for an ambitious player? I want to be part of a campaign without being the DM at least once
