Session 26 Log,Art and XP
After passing through the security
check the team enter the grand ball room with their dates. As they
enter they see the Malthar's party is already in progress. Gather all
around them are various influential peoples and Stryigian's
celebrities.
Of course Justin White is there, and
Rodworth steers the team toward him. Rodworth engage him in small
talk, taunting him about security of the chip that has exchange hands
twice, offering a discount on the next time the team sell it back to
him. While Justin question Rodworth on his teams members who are
running and bring up their platforms, also the setting up of a
debate.
After leaving Justin, the team makes a
bee line to the Malthar, who is dress like a Medusa. The Malthar
greed the team and praise their success and their shuttle service.
After making small talk the Malthar suggest that they meet with him
after the party to talk business.
Leaving the Malthar side, the team
mingles with various celebrities and officials. Notable is Balta'sax
encounter with Sidisurmo High Prelate of the Family of One and
Artemis offering Rodworth a drink of strange beverage that leaves him
drunk. Balta'sax date is caught by the team exchanging data with
several party goers and concluding that she (Zik) is a spy.
As the party winds down the Malthar's
ambassador approach the team, informing them the Malthar will see
them now and hand them a data stick. ( Something we need to look at,
carefully as it could contain a virus from the White Rabbit). Meeting
with the Malthar, he offers them a couple of deals, the first working
for him in exchange of Assault scout. The second is his assistant in
their efforts to win the Elections in exchange for good relationship
between planet and his station.
The team tell the Malthar that they
will mull the offer, and as they leave the Ambassador escort them to
their ship where he give them a parting gift, a subspace radio.
On the trip back to surface the team
confront Zik and she comes clean. She inform the team that she has
valuable information, and the party start negotiations using computer
terminal while carrying out a false conversation to mask the
discussion from the open channel on Balta'sax chronocom. Rodworth don
his space suit, and threaten to space Zik unless she come clean on
what she knows.
The information she give the team is
the following:
* Mr Jones has taken residence with a
person or persons named "the rabbit"
*the engine that mysteriously
disappered? it went up on one of the ships during the disaster,
and landed on Darkstar Station
*That Justin White has a fascination
with ... teeth?You know, he's a surgeon and a roboticist... but he
likes teeth
*She indicate where Alice is being
held in ship construction area of the station, and supply us with
the location
We part ways when we land.
The next day, Rodworth purposes a
salvage mission to the New Port to retrieve fuel pellets and any
other valuables that may have been left behind. After a complex
operation the team was able to retrieve 4 pellets and Class A rocket
engine which they use to repair the Tiger Claw. While the team is
replacing the engine on the Tiger Claw, they are contacted by UPF to
meet about a job. They finish repairs on the Tiger Claw, which they
fly up to Pinnacle Station for a complete overhaul of the rocket as

The Team meets with Representatives of
UPF Fleet who wish to engage the team to track down and capture the
White Rabbit, who they inform the team is Sathar's agent. Rodworth
suggest a plan, to lure the Rabbit out by dangling the Alien atomic
engine that the Malthar has in his possession. In exchange the team
is offer a million credits for the White Rabbit capture and
additional million for the rescue of Spaceman Jones.
