Macros used in combination with information templates

this is something that I would like to see but is not easily done. My first idea is something that i'm sure many people would like and would use. while my second idea is a bit more obscure and more something that i would personally like. I would like the implementation of macros that that can refer outside information like a character sheet, So that i might write one macro and then when it's used my a player it'll access there character sheet and use that information, just to make skill rolls easier and require less time looking up numbers (D&D 3.5) also so that I can make random hidden checks for things like will saves or fortitude saves for the group that they wouldn't notice unless they failed a check. my second request would be to have macro interactions with the card system, this is because I'd like to play a card base RPG through roll20 but currently there is no good way. this is obviously more difficult since you'd have to attach the macros to each card.
Hello Bryan, Something similar to your first request is actually in the works. This tweet (<a href="https://twitter.com/roll20app/status/261493175527542784/photo/1" rel="nofollow">https://twitter.com/roll20app/status/261493175527542784/photo/1</a>) shows a screen capture of character sheet integrated macros in action. Seeing as you're a Mentor you'll be able to access the new functionality on the Dev server sometime in the near future, so keep a look out for updates!
Thank Tristan, I see that in the screen capture the target of the quality is being refered to directly will there be a way to write one macro and simply attach it to each character sheet or will we have to write out each macro with the characters name in each of them (i.e. Mrbearington:strength vs Character:strength (<-- refering to the sheet it's "attached to"). while this is a very small difference, I believe it is what most people will expect rather than the explicit code shown in capture. thank you for your time!
