Create a way for us to add custom content into the 5e SRD

For instance, the 5e SRD only has one background.

I am hoping for a way that we could manually add more entries into our game's SRD, which our players could then drag onto their sheets. Stick a big label on every custom entry stating as such, with a way for the GM to revert back to just the original SRD if they wanted.

The 5th Edition SRD Compendium can only contain information (such as race and class options, feats, spells, treasure, monsters, etc.) that is located within WoTC's recently-released SRD. If WoTC releases more SRD content under an Open Gaming License, you can count on that being added to the Compendium.

However in terms of custom compendium content, I believe that it is certainly on the map as far as future expansion goes:

Very Impressive... but so many questions come to mind, but will start with the two big ones that jump out at me.

  1. ...
  2. Homebrew... This goes back to questions I asked when the compendium was first introduced, is it possible for individuals to have "customized" compendium content?
...

On Homebrew, that is definitely an area we're planning to explore. I think ideally we'd like to allow you to "fork" the SRD and then have a private Compendium that you can edit to your heart's content. But it will be a ways into the future before we're able to offer that most likely -- we want to get the official SRD to a place that we feel like it's stable first.
Yeah, I was hoping for us to be able to put homebrew into our own compendium. The SRD compendium obviously can only have what WoTC released.

Then the future is bright indeed for you, me and the rest of us who can't wait to get our hands on custom compendiums :)
