Date: 26th Harvester - 1st Brewfest, 609 CY Attendance: Wulrakas, Jareth ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recap: Having been granted some downtime while the Magus at the Academy works on his translation of the tome, Jareth tries to learn some more about what they're facing. Drawmij in particular, and perhaps any connection he has to the Guild. For this he's granted apprentice-level membership of the Sea Mage's library, where he learns more on the subject... including the fact that Drawmij did associate with the guild. Wulrakas spends his three days whittling a carving, which he accidentally decapitates towards the end. Wax sealant mends this -- somewhat -- and he now proudly boasts a haphazardly-held together figurine of Medrash. When Brewfest arrives the two men meet at a crossing in the mid-district of town. While a parade marches through Jareth notices a black cat slinking across the rooftops; the same black cat they found in the "Thieves' Guild." The cat tries to escape but Jareth sprints fast enough to grab her. They duck into an alleyway and she transforms into her human form. After claiming they're being watched, she leads them to a dead end in the alleyway. She continues forward, however, and walks through the wall. Jareth and Wulrakas follow. They find themselves in a large, empty room. Outside of the windows there is nothing but darkness. What proceeds is a long discussion concerning the state of things, in particular the boy mage claiming to be Drawmij. The jist of it is as follows: Drawmij most likely brought the giants to act as a distraction, while he repossessed items taken from him while he was imprisoned in the  Demiplane of the Devourer . Drawmij was studying chronomancy -- the manipulation of time -- shortly before being taken. The Cat Lady claims that this is an important fact to consider. The Cat Lady reveals that she is actually the Cat Lord -- a powerful quasi-deity who roams the Beastlands, and who is the protector of all felines After agreeing to team up with the Cat Lord -- who has taken the name "Rexi" -- the woman gives Jareth a gem. She claims that it will take them to this empty room, which is actually part of her own demiplane, after a ten minute ritual. She says it's safe from the outside world and far from prying eyes. Jareth and Wulrakas leave, and they then reunite with the Magus of the Academy. He confirms that their vault was raided during the giant attack, and then provides his translation of the tome to the two men. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Experience: Alena – 0 XP (118,650 XP total) Wulrakas - 10,000 XP (210,750 XP total)  Virgil - 0 XP (162,850 XP total) Cat - 0 XP (165,500 XP total) Jareth - 10,000 XP (161,500 XP total) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loot: Strange blue gem - Jareth -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes: Two pages revealed on the Obsidian Portal, check 'em out.
