Macro Help

Hey guys, I used to be okay at macros but have since forgotten how to correctly format. The examples have created as much questions as they've answered so I think I'm going to go the easy route. I'll PM a $5 Amazon Giftcard to the first person to post an example of a macro for a full attack by 2 named weapons, each with crit stuff, for pathfinder. Also, it must not reference the native Roll20 character sheet.

Putting them in manually. So using the name= and stuff and typing it out. I actually learned it the first time from one of your threads where somebody was playing a druid with bite and claw attacks.

Hey, David H.  Have you checked out the  Example of Abilities section (and links therein) of the Pathfinder page on the Roll20 Wiki ? It's got plenty of example macros; you might even find exactly what you're looking for, or something close enough that you could easily change the Attribute calls to suit your own (or, alternatively, change any Attribute calls (e.g. @{BAB} + @{STR}) into Roll Queries (e.g. ?{Attack Modifiers|2 + 3})
Yes I have, Silvyre! Unfortunately, it's written to reference the roll20 character sheet which is inconvenient for me right now. Also, roll queries are a step that I'd rather not add.

Okay; how we start off simple and then build up? /em attacks twice with their rapier! 1st Attack: [[ 1d20 + 6 [Base Attack Bonus] + 3 [Strength Modifier] ]] vs. AC for [[ 1d8 + 3 [Strength Modifier] ]] piercing damage! Critical confirmation: [[ 1d20 + 6 [Base Attack Bonus] + 3 [Strength Modifier] ]] Critical damage: add [[ 1d8 + 3 [Strength Modifier] ]] 2nd Attack: [[ 1d20 + 6 [Base Attack Bonus] + 3 [Strength Modifier] - 5 ]] vs. AC for [[ 1d8 + 3 [Strength Modifier] ]] piercing damage! Critical confirmation: [[ 1d20 + 6 [Base Attack Bonus] + 3 [Strength Modifier] - 5 ]] Critical damage: add [[ 1d8 + 3 [Strength Modifier] ]] Documentation: Inline Dice Rolls Chat Commands Including Additional Information

How do I get that in the pf_attack card and get it to confirm crits when applicable as well?

"pf_attack" is a Roll Template that is supplied by the Pathfinder Character Sheet . Documentation: 6 Roll Templates 6.1 Common Properties 6.2 pf_spell Properties 6.3 pf_attack Properties 6.4 pf_defense Properties 6.5 pf_generic Properties 6.6 pf_block Properties Are you using the Pathfinder Character Sheet? If so, I'm curious as to why you've requested that your macros do not reference it.
I am not, but using the card gives a nice ordered column of numbers with one or two words telling what they mean right next to it. However, that template has the tags that I'm looking for with the examples I'm familiar with next to it, so that's pretty helpful.
If you'd like to use that Roll Template in that game, you'll have to add the Pathfinder Character Sheet to your game . Otherwise, you could use the Default Roll Template . e.g. copy and paste the following into the text chat: &{template:default} {{name=Two Rapier Attacks!}} {{Att. 1:=[[ 1d20 + 6 [Base Att. Bonus] + 3 [Strength Modifier] ]] vs. AC for [[ 1d8 + 3 [Strength Modifier] ]] piercing damage!}} {{Crit 1:=[[ 1d20 + 6 [Base Att. Bonus] + 3 [Strength Modifier] ]] vs. AC for an additional [[ 1d8 + 3 [Strength Modifier] ]] piercing damage.}} {{Att. 2:=[[ 1d20 + 6 [Base Att. Bonus] + 3 [Strength Modifier] - 5 ]] vs. AC for [[ 1d8 + 3 [Strength Modifier] ]] piercing damage!}} {{Crit 2:=[[ 1d20 + 6 [Base Att. Bonus] + 3 [Strength Modifier] - 5 ]] vs. AC for an additional [[ 1d8 + 3 [Strength Modifier] ]] piercing damage.}}
Aaah. That's probably one of the reasons my attempts haven't worked. Is there no way for it to automatically threaten/confirm crits for the default template?

Gotcha. I thought it was incorrect bracket/tag use on my part that was making everything fail. The GM of this game has no character sheets enabled. Thanks for all your help
You're very welcome!

Your dm can choose the PF sheet,  you don't have to use the actual sheet, but you can use the roll templates associated with it.  Of course, we have written the roll templates logic and formatting with the PF sheet's specific attributes in mind... Just an option.
