((Sorry, I had to delete my previous post. For some reason roll20 wouldn't let me update the darn thing. Please don't take this as spam because I did delete the old one before starting this one. )) Hello All
For the last 30 years I've been a gamer and GM and have had more than my fair
share of getting stuck behind the Gaming screen scenarios, in my day. I
don't want that to be repeated here please.
My last group here on roll20 has disbanded do to real world concerns and
medical issues. That leaves me with a creative itch to scratch and no reliable
way of venting it. I’m free Friday, and Monday from 6PM until about 1AM CST [or
-6GMT] and Saturday and Sunday from 4PM until about 2AM CST [or -6 GMT also].
I'm a dedicated role player and when
I agree to be at a game I show up 9 out of 10 times and if I can't make it, I
make an effort to let everyone know as far in advance as possible.
What I can tell you about me is, I like a serious play style over lighthearted,
with a leaning towards grim shades of grey kind of characters instead of single
dimensional good heroes. I try to play characters that “feel” real to me,
instead of a general heroic architype. At the end of the day I like to play a
character that are on the side of the Angels but complex in their outlook and
approach to various situations. If given a choice I prefer Role-Player
situations to hack and slash, but in general I like about a 70% role playing to
30% combat ratio. If I join a game I try to enhance the GM’s vision by my
support and reinforcing the details of his/her world by my play; and the
details I put into my character. Characters that "fit" into the
setting are important to me. I have a certain dislike for meta-gaming and
rules-lawyering both are equally odious as they wastes time and energy that
could be spent in much more entertaining ways.
Mature content has it place in games but I don’t feel it should be limited in
scope. I absolutely have no problem with issues of Sex, Violence, Sexism,
Racism (for example Elf vs Orc or Lizardfolk vs Human violence NOT REAL WORLD racism of course) , Religion, and or Sexual Orientation showing up in a games but they
can’t the sole focus. Handled tastefully these things add spice to a game. Feel
free to disagree but do it respectfully in another thread please. All of that
being said I would like to join a group that does more than just touches on
these subjects instead of avoiding them completely. I’m looking for a group that does
erotically driven story lines and a more complex play style than the ordinary
RPG group. If you are a member of such please feel free to contact me via PM to
minimize any possible disruption to your game or bringing undue attention to a
group by inadvertently advertising you’re groups play style. Discretion in all
things, am I right? :D
Deal Breakers for me are pretty clear. Nothing is worse than a group of players
that act like they aren’t on the same team. That being said I seriously dislike
player vs player situations. I don’t mind if characters have different points
of view, and argue them, but when it comes down to it players should never draw
weapons on one another. That is not a game with which I’d want to take part.
Excessive meta-gaming is a terrible strain on credulity for me. Nothing will
get me to leave a game quicker than a rules related argument that takes up
significant portion of game time.

Thanks for your time
Peace
