Dynamic Lighting Working in GM Mode, But Not In Player Mode... Suggestions?

Hey everyone,    PLEASE HELP!! I am having some trouble using the dynamic lighting feature. I have selected all my walls, made sure that fog of war is off, set my player token to have a 60' radius of light so that I can check the map... but when I switch from GM view to Player view, the entire screen is black. I am not sure what I am doing wrong here...  I have just started using roll20 but I get it already. I have used photoshop wuite a bit and this reminds me of that. Suggestions? I am sure it is something simple that I have just overlooked...

Ok, a few things to check through first, does your token satisfy the following: 'Has sight' is ticked Is assigned to be controlled by a 'player' namely yourself for testing If logging as a player isn't working right try selecting the token as a DM and using ctrl+L (cmd+L on mac) to 'see' as that token does. Page settings: Make sure the page settings are set to have dynamic lighting enabled Make sure 'enforce line of sight' is checked as this tells the dynamic lighting to respond to the token settings. Make sure global illumination is off otherwise the token will see everything that isn't blocked by DL lines. The  wiki should tell you all you need to know.
Check on all of those things and I still cant see anything... When I ctrl+L it works like it should, when I go to the setting cog on the right, and then go to rejoin as player, it is all black... Dunno what to do. I have even set token in one of the rooms that emits light and all players can see light...

If you can't even see the token itself sat in a sea of darkness then I would suggest double checking that you as a player would have the ability to see through that token. An easy way to do that would be to set control/edit rights to 'all players'. Also make sure the player ribbon is on that page as when you log in as a player you will be put onto that page. If the token is tied to a journal make sure you as a player have control/edit of that journal entry too as that will apply the settings to the token.
figured it out. When I go Journal>(Player Name)>Edit I can set it to be "Edited and Controlled" by whomever. HOWEVER, this is not the same as if you select the token>settings and under Basic there is another section that says "Controlled By". Just thought I would post this since some other people are having the same issue.

Excellent, glad you got it sorted. There is a learning curve to these things that become second nature after a while (not that i don't regularly fall afoul of my own bad habits ;) ). Happy rolling!!
Thanks! Now I have to figure out why a torch I have chosen isn't emitting light... HAha
