Looking for StarWars Saga Edition group

I have all the Saga Edition books on PDF and the system looks super fun. I did get to play in one game about a year ago with my inperson gaming group, but the GM since moved and the game came to an abrupt end. I really would love to get another chance to play the game again so I am looking for others players/a GM/ or  an already existing group.

I was always wanting to try this out. I have lost the PDFs since but if I could get a hold of remand brush up I would love to play. Maybe even GM but would have to look through the pdfs again

Yeah I once searched with a group for 6 months solid to find a GM for Saga. We eventually gave up. I've run into a few here and there but it's hard to find them because the few SW players and GMs have now been divided by Edge of the Empire (Saga is better in my humble opinion). I've GMed saga before but I am in college and way too busy now. I wish you guys good luck in finding a GM! Maybe my response will help keep you guys on the first page for an extra 5 minutes :) . That said, I could try to squeeze in playing Saga with you guys if you do decide to GM Jamie. Just give me a shout guys.

God i remember reading through this book in awe because I really wanted to play this game. I got through the character creation with my friends but alas no gaming was actually done. What time frame would people like? Clone wars of Rebellion?

Or KOTOR even :P

I'm rather partial to Saga over EotE myself. EOTE is fun, but I think requires the right kind of group to really be fun. I'd love to get into a game of Saga, but it's hard for me to find text only games for it. If that's something that interests you guys as well, count me in!

so what I will do is read over the books, thanks for the them Chaos Burn, and see what ideas I can come up with. It may be basic to begin with as I have never GMed before but I love Star Wars and I will defo get into this more than D&D DMing

Unless someone else wants to GM, I am flexable :) I love playing and would like to at one point

I'm currently running a game, so I'd much rather play than GM due to my time constraints. I'd be happy to provide co-GM services though.

I too am running a 5th edition game on the side, so I can't really spare the extra time to plan things out, but if you are down to GM that would be awesome. As for time period im down for just about anything really. I am not a huge fan of Post Return of the Jedi stuff. But Kotor-Swtor-Clone-or Empire would be rad. 

Personally I am just glad there are others are willing to play Saga edition. 

Well I am off tomorrow (Friday GMT) if anyone wants to Skype and get ideas down. That way I can get a timezone down and maybe even get some character ideas down :)  PS I use discord too but most people have Skype and some people like the video part of it 

It might be worthwhile for those who don't use additional programs to chat to just create a campaign to work out of. Can always either create a new one or reuse it later.

My name is Frost, well met traveler. I am looking for a campaign to join. I am new to RPGs but have experience. I have a great microphone (Astro A50!) and a decent webcam if we go that route. I am dependable and reliable so if I commit to a campaign I will make most if not all of them and I am looking for a group who can make similar commitments. I usually play a ranged character (Ranger, Warlock, Wizard, Sorc) but if we need a Paladin or Warrior because we are range heavy I can brew something up for one of those. I don't have the PDFs so just assume I'm talking about the equivalent of those classes.  I tend to like lots of RP with epic combat added in for good effect. I am looking for a serious group who knows where it's appropriate to chunk in the humor to make everything an even better experience. Basically if it's even close to what they put out on Critical Role on Twitch that would be amazing. I love Saga quite a bit, though it's been a while.  Although lately, I'll say that I've grown very intrigued by the idea of using Savage Worlds for Star Wars as a kind of lighter quicker approach to the setting that hits the things that I love about Saga.  If that idea intrigues you, then we can talk about it a bit, but I'm also very fond of Saga.   As to time periods, I'm flexible, although I kind of hate the Yuuzhan Vong and am not much of a fan of the Prequels (although as Gendy Tartovosky has shown us, you can still tell some kickass stories in them).  I'm willing to read up on wookiepedia or anything else to familiarize myself with the setting.  If I had to pick a setting, I guess I'd opt for somewhere nearish the Original Trilogy (e.g., early Rebellion pre-ANH or dissolution of the Empire post-RotJ) or KOTOR.   I'm crazy busy tomorrow with work, but I'd love to chat sometime.  I'm in CST, which is, according to google, GMT-6.

I'm in EST (GMT-5) and I'm available after 5:30pm most week days. Weekends are hit or miss.

Oh yeah, my timezone probably would've helped.  CST here, available most evenings after 6pm.  Weekends are also hit or miss for me.

Damn got me off season lol I used to host Saga Edition games every month last year but now I've moved onto Edge of the Empire :P I still have every book on PDF as well as every fan PDF for clone wars and The Old Republic :P Such a fun system!

I am GMT 0, but I can do late nights so 10pm would suit as I work late. I have D&D on Sunday nights so I can't do that

I'm generally good during the week 6p-11p EST. I cant do Friday morning as I have one of those nasty JOBs. Friday evening or anytime Saturday is good as long as it's not the third Saturday of the month.

I personally lake both a mic and a webcam (Poor College Student here, got an old Comp Rig) But I am fully able to join a skype call and listen in, If you don't mind me being a chat based player then I would fit right in, espically if I'm the only chat based player. I am Pacific time zone, and I am cool with friday nights, which is seems just about everyone else is. 

Skype has a hidden push to talk feature as well.. which helps with the mouth breathing. I'll also be a chat only player as I much prefer that roleplay experience. I'm more of a writer than an actor.

I am looking for a full voice at the bare minimum.

Saga Edition is a d20 rules set by Wizards of the Coast and is not the d6 version made by West End Games

I am off Monday this week. So I will set up a campaign page and see about setting a time and getting an era to play in. :)

I do type rather quickly so I've never found response time to be a hindrance.
