Cannot interact with tokens

Has anyone else had a glitch where they could not interact with any tokens on the maps? I GM a game and cannot move any tokens. I've checked my settings (layers) and such and they are fine. I tried to log into other games and cannot move my character token there either. I've restarted my computer, cleared the cache and even tried logging in to another browser and nothing works.

Oh, weird! I'm GMing a game, and I've assigned the tokens to the appropriate users, checked that the tokens are on the correct layers, and done all of the things above as well. I can interact with all the tokens, but none of my players can. They can draw and zoom and everything, and they can see their characters in their journals, and drag their avatar picture onto the map and move them around, but not their tokens. 

I've thought of making their avatars the same as their tokens, and then I just need to resize them each time, but there should be an easier way to allow them to control their tokens.

Could you please carefully work through the first three steps of our guide to Solving Technical Issues?

• Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser
  • Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox.
• Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20
  • Please disable all add-ons/extensions and anti-virus programs.
• Step 3: Clear your cache

If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 4. (Don't forget the complete Console Log!)

Ron, it would be best if you could start your own thread as 'similar' issues often have very different causes. If your OP could follow the steps above though that would really help :)

I will send a link to my game for you to test it out. Also, my players CAN drag their tokens onto the map by clicking their characters' names in their journals and dragging them onto the map. However, once the token is there, they can't select it or interact with it in any way. Also, like I said before, they can go into their character sheet and drag the image from their Avatar onto the map and interact with that. Such a strange issue.

I tested again this morning, and my wife (one of the players who tested last night and couldn't move her token) this morning was able to move her token! I have no idea what changed. :/

Just for clarification, I don't know if the situation has changed for my other players. I'll check as soon as I can get them on and see if there's an issue still. 

After more testing with my wife's account, I realized that she was only able to move her "token" because it wasn't actually her token, it was her avatar picture that I had made to be similar to her token. The issue there, again, is that I have to size the tokens by sight, which works somewhat. If there's nothing that will work better, I guess that'll do for now. Please let me know if there's a way to make the tokens work though. 

Double click the token directly, did you assign it to a player or to a character?
If character, double click the journal entry and click the edit button on the top right.  In here, make sure it is assigned to a player.
If the token is assigned to a player, then yeah, definitely something is wrong.  

Omg, Jake, that might be it! Even though I put the tokens on the map by dragging from the journals, they still weren't assigned to characters (why???). I'm assigning them now, and I'll have to have my wife test later, but I feel pretty confident this is the issue.

So related question.... why doesn't it automatically assign to token to the journal character when you drag it onto the map from the journal? It seems kind of redundant to have to drag it onto the map, then assign it again.

You need to:

1. Place a token for the Character (in the Journal) on the map.
2. Edit the token and Select the Character name (from the Journal).
3. Edit the Character sheet and assign that token as the default for the character.

Then when you drag the token to a map, it will keep the Character values and settings, even between pages.

Yes, I've done steps 1 and 3, but I never knew to do step 2. Thank you guys. I'm sure this solved my issue, but I'll report back if it didn't after testing it out. :)
