In Depth Macro Questions

I have some very in depth macro questions and am wondering if there are any masters out there. So what I am trying to work on atm is a general weapon attack macro. What I want it to do is first say something like "Character attempts an attack with his" then drops a menu for weapon selection, rolls the d20+ with formulas and text specific to ea weapon, and then has another drop down menu asking for a hit or miss depending on what the dm says. on miss it would say "and misses", or on hit would calculate damage, with another drop down menu asking for sneak attakck (im a rogue) and then another for poison or something of the like. Im not to familiar with the syntax for roll20 macros, and am unsure if I can have embedded if/then statements. If there are any macro masters out there, I'd love to learn from you! Thanks in advance!
For dropdown menus, check out Drop-Down Prompts for Roll Queries . Conditionally hiding/displaying text is something that's only possible using a personalized Roll Template or with the assistance of an API Script (e.g. PowerCards , which is great with simple conditional logic, highly recommend for this). Do note that the usage of either within a game requires that the game's Creator possess an active Pro subscription. A macro using PowerCards could handily accomplish everything you've outlined.
