How to see what players see?

About the fog of war, do we have a way, as GM, to see it as black as a player does? Because they're really contrasted and dark maps, simple light gray isn't really helpfull... What about a "switch vision" button? It could also work with backgrounds, without tokens...

Have you tried adjusting the GM Opacity slider all the way to the right under fog of war for the page settings? Also try using CTRL+L (Cmd+L on Macs) on a selected token and you should see the map as that token.

Kamaril, here is the wiki page for the fog of war and about the page settings for the fog of war. As Vince has stated, you can adjust the GM Opacity with the slider, try the CTRL+L, or you can rejoin as a player to see what the players see. Wiki page quoted The fog appears as a solid black area to players, but for the GM it's a semi-transparent layer. If you'd like to adjust how dark the fog appears to you (handy for dark maps where it's hard to tell where it is) use the "GM Opacity" slider to adjust how transparent or opaque it appears. Simply slide the slider to the left to make the fog lighter, or to the right to make it darker. If the slider is all the way to the left, the fog will be completely invisible, and if it's all the way right, it will be completely solid.
Well, I have lot of things to learn... Thx ^^

Any documentation on CTRL / Cmd + L ? I just tried it, and the only thing that happened is the coloured square around the token got darker. Other than that, I didn't notice a difference. Thanks!

The CTRL+L is part of the keyboard commands . It is usually used by the GM to see what that specific token can see if dynamic lighting is used. It should work with fog of war also.
Thanks Pat. I have a free account, so no Dynamic Lighting. I do use Fog of War, but didn't notice a difference. If anyone knows different, I'd be interested in any further information. Thanks!

CTRL+L ( https://wiki.roll20.net/Dynamic_Lighting#Line_of_Sight ) will probably only matter when using DL/LoS/Barriers... You can always re-join as a player though, or create a "test" account and log into your game in another browser or tab to check what players see. FoW( https://wiki.roll20.net/Page_Settings#Fog_of_War ) GM Opacity( https://wiki.roll20.net/Page_Settings#GM_Opacity ) should make a difference but only as a GM.
Thanks Vince!
