The Colonel’s Remains?

So... I  Charoux had a disturbing thought... Suppose the nuke is just a coverup of the Colonel’s kidnapping , and not his actual assassination, which Maarg staged precisely to lure Isis back home “where she belongs”, for the sake of some damned prisoner-swap? Pakkrat, please confirm whether or not the Darrian investigation found sufficiently sizeable remains, or some other evidence that the Colonel is genuinely dead , and not just being held for some Machiavellian ransom by the company nemesis.
Because Sun Point is glassed over and still highly radioactive, many Darrians refuse to probe the former recreation community on the peninsula.  No remains have yet been discovered or recovered.  So, at this time there is no possible way to confirm or deny the death of Col. Robertson. Even though Isis saw the explosion from the Colonel's air/raft, even she cannot confirm more than what she remembered and saw. Until the ambient rads drop on Sun Point, the investigation has to use orbital and telezoom optics to survey the damage.
Charoux tents his fingers in his heavily shadowed quarters, stating, “I’m on to you, Captain Maarg...”

Assuming the Colonel was home when the device detonated, I find it just about impossible to believe that the he survived the blast, or even that there would be any remains to find.  I do agree, however, that Maarg will be expecting us, and that we should be thinking about how to minimize his advantage by either sneaking up on him or draw him out.
We don’t really know he was home; we just know that he was expected to be home. He easily could have been kidnapped, and they left the nuke as a devastating smokescreen. However, I suspect that even nuclear bombs don’t destroy entire bodies ; they don’t actually vaporize anything. So there are almost certainly remains to be found, probably even identifiable... albeit, no doubt under potentially  tons and tons of rubble . And Charoux would much prefer to know he’s walking into a trap beforehand, particularly given recent events.
Actually, Yes, a nuclear bomb literally vaporizes matter in the heart of the blast - stripping away the bonds that hold molecules together and converting liquids and solids into gas or even plasma. And, Yes, I am a Geek. That said, I do agree that we are assuming that the Colonel was home at the time of the blast. I'm all for investigating in any way possible to determine whether or not the Colonel is actually dead. If it's feasible, I even have no objection to your searching ground zero for any kind of evidence that may be found. Although, now that I think about it, wasn't there some reason that we knew  he was there at the time? Or am I misremembering?
The forensics did confirm that the Colonel's Darrian ID bracelet was at ground zero at the time of the blast.  It takes half a day to gather that part of the forensic data from the collected matrix of the entire report.  YMMV
The bracelet probably aught to be able to confirm whether or not he was wearing it at the time... just saying... I’ll have to concede the “vaporization” thing, although the vaporization radius is very small. Working out what that would be for a suitcase nuke of this sort would require specifics and math; but given that the thing was intended to destroy an Imperial bunker on Wypoc, it could well have vaporized the whole house.
