Old names showing under permissions but not in campaign

Hello, ive been using the same roll20 campaing for many years, making copies of it when starting a new campaign to keep all my tokens and handouts and such in tact. However, when I go into the campaign settings, it lists only 5 players, but when I go into the game itself and try to assign permissions to character sheets, it shows very old user names that havent been in the campaign in a long long time. Is there any way to remove them? Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with the site. Could you please carefully work through the first three steps of our guide to Solving Technical Issues ? Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable all add-ons/extensions and anti-virus programs. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 4 . (Don't forget the complete Console Log, showing both when you're on the game details page AND in the table itself trying to assign characters to players!)
Did steps 1,2 and 3. No change for me either/ Will wait for an official answer since we are not the only two with this and I don't understand step 4 at all.
You're probably going to have to submit a bug report. I had this problem with one of my campaigns a long time ago... At that time, Riley finally went into my campaign and deleted the old names manually. Haven't seen the issue with other campaigns since then, I assumed the bug has been resolved.

Brett's right, Riley posted some weeks ago that this particular issue is fixed for new games (and I believe it is fixed for old games that have newly exiting players). The problem, I believe, only persists on games that were created before the fix, and possibly only on Players names who left the game before the fix. Aaron R. & OS Chris , Try copying your Game, like you're making a backup copy, and go into the new copy of the game. See if the fresh Copy has the problem. I think this might fix it without needing to ask a Dev to go into your game manually.   In my experience, I have old games that I created before the fix, and used to see this issue, but on my latest running Copy of the game I'm not seeing the old names anymore (I just double checked to be sure), and I think that the old names were properly scrubbed when I moved to a fresh backup copy of the game.

Hey, Aaron and Chris, which of your games are you having this issue with? And if you could give me a list, specifically, of the names of the players that are showing up that you want removed, that would make it a whole lot easier for me.
Sorry for the slow reply. The game ive having issues with is "Curse of Strahd" and the players who have long since been removed are (I only know their in game names, not their roll20 accounts, since their names only show up in the permissions dropdowns which use the ingame names) Terric, and Aaron R. (My old secondary account I haven't used in years). Let me know if you need more info, thanks!

Alright, I deleted Terric and the Arron R. account that hadn't been in the game since 12/15/2014. Let me know if that fixes everything for you.
