Howdy, planning a dnd 3.5 lizardfolk druid with no spellcasting. Help plox

My DM has insisted that magic is to be used as little as possible, So I thought It would be possible to make a totally reliant wild shape druid that's all about the wild shape and being reliant on melee attacks and manipulating opponents. I'd like some help on feats/skills I should look into and other useful tidbits I should know. Keep in mind I'm fairly new to d&d, so If you are going to use abbreviations please explain what they are xD Thanks in advance!
Is your DM changing the class so you get the wild shape ability at a lower level? If not then you have to wait till level 5 before you are able to shape shift. I also think that a druid without spell casting is taking an important feature from the class.

Yeah....  I'd either make a bargain that self-buffing spells (owl's wisdom, for example) are allowed, or look at a different class.  If you're allowed other books, there are plenty of melee-ish classes out there.  If you ONLY want wild shape, I'd go straight to Savage Species, pick the critter you want to be, and just add fighter/barbarian levels on top of it.
