Our roll20 powered RPG Projection Table

Thought I would show off our table here. If you have any questions I'd love to answer them. Here's the full imgur gallery of our table.

... your paladin's player is going to be spoiled for life  with a sweet setup like that. I don't know that he'll be able to game with anyone but you ever again. Can I come over? =)
That is a truly awesome setup!
Looks incredible, thanks for sharing!

Looks amazing! :D How do you handle rolls? Dices or in Roll20?

Pretty neat.  Clever use of white circles for Roll20 tokens to act as spotlights on the players. =D

That issue is one reason I went with a tv as a digital gametable instead of a projector.

I hesitantly allowed my PCs to use character sheet apps on their phones but so far i've been running an interesting enough campaign to keep them in character and off their phones. That issue is one reason I went with a tv as a digital gametable instead of a projector.  There are several obstacles to overcome when making a digital table, projection always seemed like the best choice but I hated how it made the minis look. the spotlights are a 90% solution - the image still cast a shadow but at least the projector is directly above so the shadows are cast straight down. Can I come over? =) Every couple weeks we have a game that takes place purely in the theater of the mind, the mapdeck comes off and the roleplaying comes out. If he is spoiled, I hope its because we are great story tellers, not because I've got some fancy tech. and absolutely! We're in San Antonio, bring your favorite character and a six pack!

Yeh, that's only a 4-hour drive, obviously no problem for a day trip. =P (OTOH, I'm still looking for work. Maybe I'll end up finding something in your area!)

The Aaron said: Just a few orders of magnitude off... 268,580 sq mi =D Haven't I mapped, like, 268 thousand square miles in Roll20 using Marketplace tiles?  (Realistic answer: With Gabriel encounter-type maps, probably not yet... with Hapke continent-to-old-world-scale map methods, probably yes. Hello fantasy in-game Texas.) Congratulations on the set-up & thanks for sharing, to the Original Poster of the Roll20 projection tabletop pic. I like seeing that. I use an HD TV over HDMI cable (not projection and not laying down flat, but still a jumbo-size TV display of Roll20 map in 1080p resolution).

That seems pretty shabby... Missouri gave Texas a whole  county ... =D
