[LFG] [ 40K Dark Heresy] [GMT] Interest Survey and Potential Game (Noobs Highly Welcomed)

Hello all, So I did something similar in the past where I got a little frustrated that I couldn't find a group that fit my schedules. I'm happy to say I bit the bullet and DMed and we are having a blast. Now I'd love to play a Dark Heresy game. Basically I just want to know what the interest is like for a 40K Dark Heresy game during the week around the GMT+1 (UK) time zone. I rather be a player this time but if necessary will DM. Please understand that this will be my first time DMing 40K Dark Heresy! Heck, if everybody who replies below have compatible times but it doesn't fit me I will recommend the group play without me whilst I try again asking at another date. So are you interested? Then answer 3 questions below. Please let me know: 1) The weekday evenings you are free (please include times and timezones) 2) Your player (or DM *cross fingers*) style 3) Are you OK with voice being mandatory? I encourage video and voice but I feel that voice is definitely mandatory. If I can scrap together a group we can flesh out more details and ultimately I feel momentum is key.

1. Open availability on the following days: Tuesday, Thursday. 2. I tend to play my characters as I see they would act independent of out of character concerns. While this can potentially cause conflict, as long as the conflict remains in-character I feel everything should be fine. 3. Totally cool with voice being mandatory. Bonus #4. I would actually prefer first edition but I'll play either.

I'm sorry that this is a little bit loosey goosey at the moment but I just getting feelers out for people who might even be remotely interested, and waiting on replies. Was planning on waiting a few more days to see if more people respond (had a few so far so fingers cross timings are all good). Will definitely keep people posted! :-)

I'm really flexible in terms of play style and usually just go along with what other people are looking for. 3. Fine with video/audio Would prefer second just because I like to stay up to date but have only played rogue trader so I don't really know what the differences would be.

Thank you for your reply. Phew, I was thinking I won't get many so I'm very happy you have replied. I will wait another day but will basically send out PMs tomorrow trying to jot down a time everybody can make and see what happens from there!

If you're still looking for people I'd be happy to join in 1) The weekday evenings I'm free are pretty much Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Mondays are possible, but not preferred. I'm in Melbourne, Australia so my timezone syncs up nicely with GMT+1 most of the time (evening for you is usually early morning for me) 2) As a player I'm all about the roleplay and interesting characters. I generally try to tailor my character to something that helps the group as a whole, and I'll generally go along with the consensus (unless there's an RP reason why I would object). I haven't DM'd for 2nd edition (did a bit for 1st), but if you want to be a player rather than the DM I'm happy to step up and play that role instead. DM style is basically the same as player, I make an effort to keep the game RP friendly, but not at the expense of more "adventurer combat heavy" players. Little bit of everything for everyone 3) Voice is perfectly acceptable, I assume Skype but I'm open to other things
