It would be really nice to have a way to reveal an object to one or more, but not all players. For example, let's say a prankster rogue spots a pit trap, but he wants to see the fighter fall into it. The DM should then be able to reveal the pit trap to the rogue only.

You could do the following workaround: Go to the source of the map (PDF for example). Copy the section of the map with the trap that you want to show the rogue. Paste into MS Paint, mark the trap, and save it. Place the image in a handout that you give to just the rogue. He will see it's location without anyone else seeing it. - Gauss
