Lag

Game gets very laggy with a large amount of characters made for a campaign. Is anything being done to address this?

The character sheet being used attaches it's attributes to those characters. Heavy character sheets like the 5th Edition Shaped or Pathfinder sheets are the likely suspects to cause this issue as they have the most attributes. There aren't great solutions outside of switching to a lighter weight sheet, or moving the characters you're not using to a repository game via the transmographier and only pulling them back in when they're needed. If your using the Pathfinder sheet there was a bug that the sheet authors introduced a couple months ago that added every attribute on the sheet when opened, instead of just those populated. Are you using the PF sheet?
Thanks for the response! I am using the Shaped sheet. Ok, so, it would be best to turn the current game I am designing into a repository game and then transmorgify in the character sheets I will use to the actual one? Is there an easier way to transfer stuff using the transmorgifier? Like, a way to search through assets in one game to port over to another? Currently, I have to scroll through all the sheets I've made and its a bit of a pain. Also, what is the upper limit of character sheets before stuff slows down? I want to run Out of the Abyss. The campaign has tons of things it throws at you and I like to make custom variants of creature types as well.

I think the Transmographier is still going to be the best way to move characters between games. You can also use the Character Vault, and some have used the API to mass transfer characters. There is no hard limit to the number of characters and the soft limit is whatever your browser can handle. It is also greatly affected by character sheet. The Shaped Sheet is by far the heaviest sheet on the site, so you'll be able to have the fewest number of characters using that sheet.
Thanks so much for all the help! I went ahead and put in a  feature request  for a search field in the transmorgifier. I dont mind setting up a repository game but it would be helpful if I could quickly search through assets in that repository game so I could copy them over (since, by the nature of this issue, there are alot of assets to sift through).
@Robert, I am in much the same boat as you. I use the latest shaped sheet and am experiencing significant lag. My players are OK. Steve's idea sounds like a good workaround but in my game I use tags and folders to organize characters (also archive what is not active at the moment). The transmogrifier does not have folders nor does it sort alphabetically. @Steve, would archiving help? I thought the lag issue was due to open sheets, not just ones in the Journal tab.
I set up folders as well (mirroring how they are arranged in the Monster Manual for easy perusal). But it absolutely crawls, I lose connection often and other scripts start failing at random points. If I could at least search through the transmorgifier to copy things over from a repository game, that would help a bit..

Hi Robert, Doug tested a fresh campaign and experienced nearly no lag. How many sheets do you have setup? I believe that to be causing a significant portion of the lag that you are experiencing. I highly recommend you reduce that number. Relevant discussion on the sheet thread
I set them ALL up. Hehe, I like to have the images all associated, etc - it makes my work flow faster. It's fine. I can just transmorgify them in to a game with less as needed. The transmorgify process could be better with a searchable list but it's workable.
