/roll 1d20 - ?{selected|Strength|Perception|Endurance|Charisma|Intelligence|Agility|Luck} I'm new to Roll20 and have been working on a campaign. from what ive seen, I know that ? can be used to ask for something, but when I make a dropdown box as seen above, to select one of the attributes, it just writes it as "[rolled no.] - strength (or whatever I selected)" rather than actually subtracting the attribute number. EDIT: the closest I can get is this: /roll 1d20 - ?{selected|@{selected|Strength}|@{selected|Perception}|@{selected|Endurance}|@{selected|Charisma}|@{selected|Intelligence}|@{selected|Agility}|@{selected|Luck}} This works and give me the result, but instead of showing the name of the stat in the box, it shows the numerical value of it. is there any way to make it show the word but calculate the value?

Hey, Darth A. What you have there is called a Roll Query . You can totally place Attribute calls within the dropdown fields of a Roll Query, but you'll need to make sure that you're using the proper syntax (including using the "selected" keyword within your Attribute calls).

I know what an attribute call is, but that can only call a single thing, not give a dropdown, cant it?

You can use the expanded Roll Query syntax as outlined in  Drop-Down Prompts for Roll Queries to accomplish this: You can also specify a different value for the result other than label like so: ?{Name of Query|Label 1,value1|Label 2,value2}
