New DM looking start 5E game

Hey everyone, I am a player looking to DM for the first time. Here is the run down: - This will be a 5E game with a few moderate house rules and campaign based character limitations. - We will be playing Out of the Abyss. We will probably run a one shot adventure or two before the main campaign to get into the swing of things. - We will play on Sundays starting at 5pm PST (probably for 4-5 hours or so). As a new father in his 30s, this is the only time slot I have open right now. Start date is not nailed down yet. If the interest is there, I may get things ready next Sunday or the Sunday after that. We may do a short session 0 this Sunday if I can get enough interest. - We will try to use Roll20 video and voice. If the technical issues with Roll20 vid/voice prove insurmountable, we may use Skype and just do voice. - We will use a Facebook group or Google Circle (whatever the group wants) for most of our midweek communications. Who am I looking for: - Players who haven't played Out of the Abyss. - Folks that are 18 or older. There is not a whole lot of "adult content" in this campaign but I may have a beer and curse a bit. I'd feel awkward doing that around younger players. - Players that respect everyone else's schedules. Not being able to make it once in a while is cool but let folks know as far in advance as possible. - Players of all experience levels that are cool with a DM that's learning the ropes. If you are interested, read the info thread and then apply in the application thread  here .
I forgot to mention, knowledge of 5E is not a requirement. I would be happy to walk you through character creation to help you take a general character concept to a specific character build. If you are brand new to tabletop, you can explore the  Basic Rules . You can also refer to the free SRD if you would like to explore some of the 5E systems a bit. Also, if you would like to ask me any questions about the campaign that aren't answered in this post or the game listing, post them below or send me a message.
I'm interested in signing up for this. Although, I will note that I won't be available until 6pm :/ If the time slot gets pushed back a bit, it'll be perfect and I can participate. I'm relatively new to 5e and still trying to learn the ropes. I feel I can learn a lot from sessions such as these.
I wish I could but that wouldnt be fair to the folks that signed up for 5. Sorry man!
I'm interested, but being a wrestling fan(WWE, specifically) there WILL be those once or twice a month times where I will miss a session because of a PPV(I'll be more than happy to let you know when those come up so it's not shocking or surprising in any way.). If that's Okay, I'm down.
That's understandable. Thanks for letting me know! GL with your session :)
Sorry folks, we filled up. We will start on the 24th. If we lose anyone before then, I will let any interested parties know of open spots.
I know you're filled up.  But if one does open up.  Shoot me a PM.  If not, best of luck to you and congrats on being a newly minted dad!!!!
@All -- I hope you have a GREAT time!  Robert is part of a Saturday gang I DM and a lot of fun to be involved with. Best of luck, and enjoy this game!!
One player dropped at the last minute (right before our first session!). We have a spot open (ideally for a front line bruiser - two ready-made characters available for new players). Apply at this link .
