This has taken place in Mitten and is a bit delayed :) Beldak and Marokin leave the Tipsy Mermaid. Under the arm of Marokin you can see a leather bound tome. Beldak looks a bit weiry and eyes around while they are on their way to the White Horse. They knock the door and someone enters. “ Yes? How may I help you? ” “ We have something to discuss with Lord Ulrich, a book he wanted to receive a while ago. ” Says Marokin. “ And one I want to get rid off ” adds Beldak. The apprentice goes back inside and after some while the Lord Ulrich appears. “ Ah Master Marokin, wising up are we? ” “ Well, my friend here... ” and he points at Beldak “ ...is pressing the issue and has some good arguments. " Beldak replies " A book on Sithi blood magic is nothing I want to have too close to me... " " There are some things that I have learned though that concern me, the possibilities of use of blood magic in this city. However, it also made me curious of what else could be going in the city and of what to take care. ” Beldak looks impatiently “ We also had a question to ask, in exchange for returning the book. Marokin mentioned to me that you are aware to some extend of the contents of this book. Would you share with us where it comes from, its history, and do you perhaps know how many have copied it? There are copying marks inside. " Ulrich replies : "Ah yes; Blood Magic! It is an ancient way around the law of Auras, but an evil one. Cernas first taught creatures this power, though many have used it since. Most of what we know of Blood Magic comes from the Sithi, but this book was not made by them. Indeed; if I am not mistaken, this book was copied by someone from the Empire, as these are Imperial copyist marks. I would suspect that someone took a book of Blood Magic back to the Empire during the Great War and it has been circulating ever since. Dangerous indeed; but there are many meddlers in the Arcane who do not understand the true nature of magic." “I also have also a question, or more a request ”, says Marokin, “ Could I study here, at least for a while, I feel I have a lot to learn and your legendary library seems to be a good place to start and I am in search of some items of which your books might speek. ” “ Looking for information on a certain god, are we? You may use our library Master Marokin; though as a non-member, I will have to restrict you to our library on Haven Isle. The one in White Horse Tower is only open to those of us who have sufficient standing in our Guild sadly and that is a rule made by our master and one which even I may not waive." “ Perhaps there is something I can do for you to gain your willingness. It is not that I don’t like the sashes, they are nice folk, however, I feel there is more knowledge and information to obtain here. ” Beldak looks a bit confused at that statement. “ You want to leave the sashes behind? ” Marokin simply nods. “ I like the bunch but I have to move forward if I want to find what I came to search for. ” Ulrich looks at Marokin " Very well, we will see if we have some work for you to do.
