D20 Modern - Zombie Apocalype - Wednesday Night (Full)

Wednesday 7pm Eastern GMT-5 Recruiting a couple players for a d20 modern Zombie Apocalypse with a Survival Horror theme to it inspired heavily by "The Walking Dead". We currently have 3 players who are reliable and are looking for a couple more to join our ranks in this. If you have any questions, comments, concerns feel free to post or send me a private message. Character Build: 28 point buy. Level 3 (Won't go beyond this level but you still gain feats and skills) No magic. Interesting quirks preferred. Still hammering out some final details.

If anyone wants to know what roles/classes are *currently* planned there is a surgeon intern/hacker, either a journalist or a burned out police officer, and possibly a gun dude.

I would be intrested any specifics for character gen other than the build points and also will there be any voice communication in this game or just text?

We use Skype for games, the char gen is pretty simple come up with a concept as long as its sensible its allowed.

is there a set start date yet?

Nothing set in stone yet, but hopefully we can start soon.

You ever notice that I play characters with animal companions in your games Charles...it's kinda interesting.

I saw this listing and I'm brand new to this little app, so I will apologize for any mistakes I made due to noobishness. I was wondering if you could answer a couple questions. 1. Would you mind someone who as a bit new to d20, but RP'ed quite a lot? I've played a little d20, but not enough that I'd say I know it well and I wouldn't want to slow you down if it would be a problem. 2. The game is played over voice on Skype? Just confirming as I'm most used to text RP, but I'm adaptable. 3. I was wondering if this was going to be more action, or drama, as walking dead has both, but I'd hate to make a social character if it's supposed to be all zombie blasting. That's all my questions for now. Thanks

Not opposed to new players. Yes we use Skype. It is going to be more focused on survival, there will be some combat, but more it'll be the stuff in between.

Thank you for the swift answers, just a couple more questions. 1. What character's are already confirmed for the game? 2. Are there any restrictions on characters I can play so far as gender and such?

We have so far a med student who moonlights as a hacker, a trucker with a dog, a military sniper, a college student majoring in tech and minoring in history, and one player not done at the moment.

How many players are you looking for total? Also, you didn't answer the second question. I sometimes play female characters and I wanted to make sure if I decided to do that it wouldn't be a problem. Another question that comes to mind is does it take place in a walking dead like universe (A world where no one has ever seen a zombie movie and have no idea what's going on) or one like the real world (Where zombie media exists and if someone sees a corpse shambling towards them they will point at it and say "Oh hey, a zombie, we should probably run now." )

That med student might turn into a full med student if we're gonna have a full on computer guy.

My bad Dennis, yeah whatever you want to play, as long as you CAN play it I am okay with. We are debating the exact terms of how we are starting, but if we start pre apocalypse then most people won't have zombie knowledge or won't really want to believe it is happening. Kendall I think we may be full up.

What if someone is a horror movie buff in character?

Most people won't want to believe, but you can use whatever knowledge your character would have.

So 1 rank in Pop Culture *might* allow you to know about zombies.
