Time flies like an arrow, but fruit flies like a banana.

Gotta say, every session goes by so quickly, even doing 4 hour sessions! Trelic was thoroughly frustrated that the vampire bitch could keep taunting him and there was no way to give her reprisal without also hurting Malaya. Too bad we lost the horsies, but an airship to fly our group around is much much better! I seriously thought we were SOL when the Professor simply decided to attack EVERYONE and then the 6 shades which we couldn't even manage to kill one of joined the fight too. Vor was a pleasant surprise. I started the session thinking today was going to be about defending Talia from a creepy stalker, but realized right after that key perception check that you stated he didn't look at her with lust, only love, that there was only one reason why he would do all this stuff for all of us. I thought about questioning him directly about it, but decided he likely had a reason for not outright saying it, and would reveal why in good time.
Was an interesting session for sure. The whole time during the auction I was just trying to figure out how to make sure we all survive and get the slaves out of there. Lucky us we had Fenthwick and Vhoori to save the day ♥ Also, air ship is definitely cool, but I will miss Enrique :'(
I have to agree I was stunned when I looked down and it was 9:30. I have been sharing the summaries with my wife who does not game. She can't wait to hear about you guys and your adventures. She is trying to get me to write this into a book. Needless to say I am really enjoying spinning this tale for you all.
As a side note now that I'm thinking about it... Didn't Meg say she couldn't go get the Viceroy himself because she couldn't travel that far? However, if I remember the map, my hometown was actually past Ravenna. So she basically had to be lying about something. Dang evil vampires!

Technically your hometown is just outside Ravenna on the west side but yea she will stretch the truth from time to time.
Ever watch Record of Lodoss War? It was literally just a transcript of people playing D&D that they got animated. Sometimes, a group can come together to really make a story worth publishing.
Is that something I can find on YouTube ?
It's a pretty old anime, so I remember watching it back when I was a kid on VHS, however a quick search popped up this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YiyBat61I4 Which if remember right was the first tv series episode? They also had movies.
Lmao well I'm halfway through and already can tell which one is Elly
Not that it's the greatest series in the world, but it's a decent old school fantasy anime. I remember being amazed years later when I found out it was just a transcript from some random peoples D&D game, I would have never guessed that if no one told me. I didn't take the time to search, but if you want to watch it, I recommend finding the sub version as I vaguely remember the dub being quite bad.

Yeah I was definitely worried during that auction. I thought we were going to be toast from those shades/armor dudes. I was thinking going into this game Vhoori would be stalker-y, but now the dream Talia had has such a different meaning. The "she did at least give me you" part that he said during the dream turned from creepy to sweet. It took Talia a while to believe that Vhoori actually had good intentions cause her whole life she had known him as the man who permanently injured her 'father.' I love that the Captains' Quarters on the ship had that bloodline-type lock and opened with her hand, such a great way for Talia to confirm that he really is her real father.
Now she'll have to find a way to get in touch with him again and make up for lost time. <3
Totally agree with everyone. I've been loving this story, and I'm looking forward to where it goes. D&D games can definitely tell great stories. I first really got into D&D after I started watching Critical Role, and I definitely feel as invested in their story as I do in ours. I loved the Professor getting up and just shouting. It was fantastic. I totally thought we were going to die and/or get all of the slaves killed, but it was certainly exciting haha. I'm definitely looking forward to hopefully reuniting Vhoori and Talia again =D
I wondered if anyone else was a CR fan. I used to play D&D but CR is what got me back into playing. I watch it with my son. I wish I could have him in this game with us but... school and Monday nights don't mix :(
Yeah, I played once when I was younger, and it was just very math-y and about just killing everything and I got kind of bored. But after seeing it could have a lot more story and role-playing, I decided to give it another shot. I'm definitely glad I did =D Too bad about your son, but I guess school is important lol
Lol yeah, he plays with us in our Saturday game and will be in the Friday night game John just started up, so that's cool. And yeah, I think 5E simplified all of the numbers stuff a lot so the focus can be more on RP now, and I love it. And so glad about sites like this one because I'd never be able to find a good group that could accommodate my family's schedule in RL.
The RP element depends heavily on the Players and if the DM really allows it to flow and well you guys are doing your part for sure.
CR is totally what sparked my interest in D&D too, I think I'm on episode 12 or something now. I am super glad that we have such an involved and interesting story like theirs.

After watching some CR I think our game stands up fairly well. I need to practice more voices like I did for Talia's daddy, Vhoori
I implore all of you who watch Critical Roll to check out RollPlay . They have had several different shows but the shows with the absolute best role playing are Rollplay: Swan Song , and Rollplay: Mirrorshades . Both AMAZING rp moments, rewarding story arcs, drama, comedy, romance, all wrapped up in a TTRPG.
Ah, yeah I have seen a little bit of RollPlay. A few weeks ago I happened upon their Twitch and watched like an hour or their Balance of Power show, which was pretty cool. I'm gonna check out the specific ones you mentioned too. I recognize Dodger from the Mirrorshades one, so I might check that one out first.
Yeah Dooger! She's great. Shes been on some episodes of The West Marches too, playing a half-orc barbarian with a valley-girl accent. Its amazing.
