To my dear friend Dr. Rockwell, Finally, Dr. Basri and her team of research assistants have dispelled the protective ward preventing entrance to the temple. It would appear that some of the interior passages have collapsed, yet there is no sign of damage to the structural integrity to the Temple. My team and I conducted preliminary inspections of the collapsed passages, and have formulated a strategy on how to safely explore what lies beyond. It will be a few days until we have a clear path, but I have a strange feeling that we will be finding interesting artifacts. If the glyphs on the exterior of the temple are to be believed, this may just be a temple built by the followers of the Ancient Ones, or perhaps the Ancient Ones themselves. We will have plenty of hard work ahead of us. I recently have been experiencing strange dreams. They usually involve dark or masked figures who are persuing me through the Great Desert. I more often than not find myself surrounded and cornered by the end of the dreams. Just as the shadowed beings are poised to finish me off, I extend my hand towards them all. The last thing I see is that there is a ring upon my hand, and it glows with a deep violet-tinted light. The dream ends. I shall consult our lead Diviner Dr. Kha'bel on the morrow. Hopefully she doesn't bother too much with interpreting the dreams. All I need is a simple dosage of a sleep aid. I hope all is well back at Mi'deen!
