Token movement

I have watched some streamed games on Roll20 and have seen a few times someone moving their token in a straight diagonal direction. It looks like it slides across the grid. I don't see anything in the Roll20 wiki on how this is done. Most movement I see is usually straight horizontal or vertical. Is there something I'm missing?
You can move your token in any direction you want... you can also put down waypoints by hitting the spacebar as you're moving your token.

You can click the token and move it with your mouse (any direction), or use the Waypoints method. It is usually small vertical and horizontal moves if you use the arrow keys on keyboard to move. Here is Roll20 wiki documentation about those different methods of moving tokens, https://wiki.roll20.net/Manipulating_Graphics#Move...
When someone other than yourself moves a token, its movement is abstracted into a straight line, unless the Waypoints method above is used. The result of this is that, when their token moves, it moves in a slow(er), straight line between its starting point and its ending point. This is why the tokens appear to move smoothly across the board!
