Story Arcs

Hey Everyone. I've tossed this idea around for a while and wanted to get one started up for when I get back stateside.  The basic idea is that there are a lot of completed story arcs in the guild (Genesis, Chult, Urmlaspyr) but not everyone gets a chance to play everything because its hard to get everyone to agree on looking for a particular adventure. To that end I am going to be proposing 2 small changes to the lineup.  First I will be talking with the DMs about a rotating schedule for when certain arcs are played.  Secondly I will be taking sign up for short mini-campaigns to take place within Living Guild. If you sign up for an arc on the listed days that means you will attend on those listed days with the same character and that you are able to play all the parts of the arc with that character.  The dates for an arc will be posted in the initial post.  If there more than 6 players who sign up for an arc we will do a single roll for the first day of the arc for all people who are there prepared and on time . If you win the roll, you are in the arc unless you give your spot to another player for whatever reason.  If you are not one of the players who got into the first session, please pay attention to the skype chat.  The DM running the arc will check in a day or two ahead of time with people playing in the arc to make sure all six spots are filled.   Even if you did not get into the game it still benefits you to show up for every step of the arc .  You may get to play if someone backs out/doesn't show and if not you will receive a multi just like a normal game. For required story awards only one player needs to have the story award to qualify.  The story awards will also say which module needs to be played in order to qualify.  Many of the required story award modules are ones that DMs can run on request if people are interested. Tentatively I'm looking to run the following Arcs: Black Tithes Adventures: Floodwaters , Shadow Siege , Churning Shadows (Urmlaspyr 3-5) Required Starting Level: 8-10 Required Story Awards: Ambassador's Favor or Ambassador's Gratitude or Ambassador's Disfavor from Dark Deeds (Urm 1) or Family Matters (Urm 2) Synopsis: It isn't just this cursed city.  Something dark, even compared to the depths of the Shadowfel, is coming for Deskyr and his family.  The nation of Cormyr does not want to lose their ambassador and Deskyr will walk through the deepest night before he allows his daughter to fall into fel hands.  Can the heroes journey once more into Urmlaspyr and thrash whatever is going bump in the night? Deus Ex Machinist Adventures: Emerald Empire , Train Job , Genesis Machine (Genesis 2-4) Required Starting Level: 8-11 Required Story Awards: Half a Friend or Half an Enemy from Emerald Mine (Genesis 1) Synopsis: The Emerald Mines are a place on the great island of Chult often talked about but little known.  What is clear is that it is no simple hole in the ground where precious stones are quarried. Riddles in Sand Adventures: Shining Sun , Shifting Sands (Godless 1-2) Required Starting Level: 6-10 Required Story Awards: Land of the Defiler Synopsis:  An orange portal, an eloquent rat and a madman wreathed in blue flame.  What better way to say 'adventure'?  Journey through to the land of Athas, where the arcane and pious tread carefully, and the world is burning hot all around. Dragonslayer Adventures: Flamewake , Dragonslayer , Jailbreak (Godless 3-5) Required Starting Level: 11-14 Required Story Awards: Riddle Me This from Shifting Sands (Godless 2) Synopsis:  A secret held tightly.  Something that should not be in the world of the Godless is making its presence known.  This is the adventure that will be sung throughout the Astral Sea.  Great Heroes come to Athas and a dragon must die. Dark Wanderer Adventures: Raging Darkness , Storm's Eye (Wanderer 1-2) Required Starting Level: 11-14 Required Story Awards: None Synopsis: Paragons on the material plane are well and truly accomplished mortals.  But the defining trait of a "Great" mortal is one simple truth.  Just how much can they stir the pot on things with nearly limitless power. Starfall Adventures: Enter the Fugue , Heart of Light (Wanderer 3-4) Required Starting Level: 12-16 Required Story Awards: Eye of the Storm from Storm's Eye (Wanderer 2) Synopsis: TBA The Light Reborn Adventures: Broken Light , Rebirth (Wanderer 5-6) Required Starting Level: 14-18 Required Story Awards: Spread throughout the party must be the following awards - Fear No Evil or Show Weakness ( Jailbreak -Godless 5), Map of the Heavens (Multiple - Urmlaspyr), True Nature ( Churning Shadows - Urmlaspyr 5), Compass Rose ( Genesis Machine - Genesis 4), Watcher's Soul ( Heart of Light - Wanderer 4) Synopsis: TBA
I'd definetely be interested in doing something like this, would help me to plan things out rather than just having random sessions that I can't show up to because of work/school/life problems.
I second Brice S.
Good. Hopefully you all can sign up for the one that was just posted
I'd like to get in on the story arc for Tuesday I need Sunday to get my macros all up. Hopefully I'll be tokened by then :)
Min level for that one is 8. Don't think that is in the cards
Alright, any low level heroics, keep me posted. Side note, macros is done whenever someone gets the chance to token me.
