Lucius lay on his sleeping pallet, trying to sleep. He could feel his
wounds healing themselves with supernatural speed. He was use to this as
he had been touched by Divinity for several months now. His mind
refused to rest, going over the battle with Captain Kae Dae. "I would
have been killed several times over without my Divinity.. He is truly a
swordsman of legendary skill." He brooded on this till he fell asleep..
and dreamed. In the dream, a younger Lucius was being tutored by Sammael. They are seated in a dark, redly lite cave. At Sammael's gestures, scenes of souls being tormented in hell by angels are played out as vivid illusions before them. Sammael explaining how endless torture will warp and twist these souls to madness. Then he stops and says "but you didn't come here to relearn what I have already taught you.. tell me of the battle with the pirate captains." Lucius tells of his failure and how the captain he was fighting was too much for him. "I can't match his skill, he is to good with a blade for me! I have failed you Sammael!" "You will face foes that are stronger then you... you haven't failed until you give up." "If you learn you will grow in power... learn from your failures Lucius.. Never give up and never stop learning..." the dream fades.. "Wait! Is it really you Sammael?" Smile.. "Does that mater?" When Lucius awakes he realizes he needs to train more with his sword. He has been depending on his death word powers too much. Scene of him training, becoming that captain to copy his style of sword fighting. Maybe using Influence to make the crew of the Gypsy better fighters.. Also what is known about this captain? Did he come out of the Endless Night? Is he evil (why he did offer to let Lucius surrender...)? How does his glowing sword figure into this? Is the sword evil? The story of the five Knights that fought the Bandit Lord. Their names where On, Wo, Ree, Fro and Ive.
