Tabbed Interface

(Be forewarned this is probably incredibly hard to implament.) The title really says it all.  A tabbed interface; not using the browser tabs, but if you have ever saved something like en Excel Workbook in an HTM format there are tabs to switch between sheet.  Something like that.  One tab for the tabletop, one for the avatar, one for the chat window (which can be hidden when needed), and so on. This suggestion may seem un-neccasery (for my friend with the 37:" HD monitor), but what about me and the other who try to use roll 20 with a 10.1" monitor.  Or even a mobile app?

I'm not sure I understand the suggestion. Chat/Image search (GM only)/Journal/Jukebox/Decks and rollable tables/Settings are already tabbed, and you can show/hide the entire set. The GM can show/hide the campaign's pages. The videos/avatars of the players along the bottom of the screen can be resized or hidden from your user settings tab.

Almost everything is tabbed as Brian has mentioned. The following picture has the tabs highlighted. each section either opens or closes or changes. on the left side is the various tools you have access to. on the right top side you have the map tab (you can change to different maps) and the chat tab that closes the whole sidebar. The side bar has 4 to 6 tabs which depend on if you are a gm or a player. Now the map has 3 layers and they are GM / Token / and Map layer and if you become a subscriber you will also have the Dynamic light layer which is on the top of them all. Each map layer is on top of the one below. It goes Dynamic Light (subscriber) / GM (only the gm can see it) / Token (players have access to this) / Map (this is the background pictures). So Wolf what do you think should be changed or added?
I apologize for wasting your time. I forgot you could reduce the avatars to name only.  By doing that and keeping the chat window small I would be able to use more of the map so long as I keep it's size down.  (I have six player and if all the avatars are open I cannot see the map or the tools, but if I use names only, then I can-- most of us don't/can't even use the video/voice chat in the first place so it is just the avatars..)

Wolf, people posting suggestions is often how they discover (or rediscover) features. :) - Gauss

Don't worry about it Wolf but if think there should be a change then post. This is how roll20 adapts to their user base. The devs want to hear our suggestions because the minds of many can always out think the minds of a few.
