Two 3.5 Players looking for a group to join

Okay a friend of mine and I are seeking out a new group to play DnD with. Both of us have been DMing for our last group so much that we haven't really had a chance to play together as players due to the lack of experience with the others. The other players are also rather hotheaded and constantly fighting which makes the games longer with less progress and I believe it is wearing down his nerves, as well as my own. I am a 20 YO Male and he is roughly the same age only younger by a year or two. He has more experience with DnD than I do and is the one who introduced me to the game in the first place. He is much more familiar with the rules than I and so he's practically my little DnD guide. I will need help in some cases as I said I'm not completely familiarized with the game. I am a very trusting person when it comes to this game as I'm still getting a hold on the mechanics of the skills and feats, but I know enough to get by for the most part. We both are seeking to enjoy ourselves in addition to finding a much more serious group to join. Our schedules are incredibly flexible at the moment, I know he has classes that he is taking this semester, but so far he's been easy to contact and if he can't make it he'll let me, or you, know for certain. Mine is much more flexible and will be up for a game almost any time. We both have skype, raidcall, pcgen, and use roll20 (obviously). If there is anything that you would rather use that we do not have we would most likely be perfectly fine with using it as well and will do our best to procure it asap if we do not already have it. please leave comments and information for us and I will attempt to contact you asap. Thank you and my apology for not attempting to seek anyone out that already have these games and groups as many of them have already been filled and I do not have the patience to go through the whole forum seeking out a group that may still have two positions open.
Single player in the same boat experienced in 3.5 new to roll20 i have very flexible hours if we can find maybe 1 more player and a gm we could get a group up and running or even just a gm... posting here in case a gm stumbles into this thread im looking for a group as well

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm  Still debating whether or no tto fire up a second campaign (3.5) have a really great Wednesday night group so that nights out of the question for me.
Still waiting on your reply crocket
I run a very open world campaign, but the lack of experienced players has been slowing down every session on roll20. If I'm free tonight (an hr or 2 from now) I could run a 1 shot for the 3 of u.
3.5 btw

I see the reason why people would need to do a 1 shot due to work scheduled or what not but i just don't understand them.  I don't see how it is gratifying to make a character play it for one night and then be done. no character development, no time for in depth plot twists etc.  am i missing something or is it just that?  something for someone who cant commit to a weekly event?
Well to each their own but there are cases where one shots can be very beneficial. Let's say I allow you to be level 10,multiclass, and assign you a decent starting gold to equip yourself, then it could let you build that character that has died in a previous campaign before it became what you had in mind for it or you could try out a new character concept you had in mind. Also in my world the actions of other player groups affect the overall world and current event lines, so a one shot has the potential to leave a lasting impression. I could go on, but a 1 shot is what i offer cuz that's what i currently have time for and i built my campaign world to allow for long stories or one shots I just can't commit to an online group this month. Plus a 1 shot is essentially a break, and they tend to be fun. Personally I would also make time to run games for players that I had a succesful session with.
pm me and we can discuss on skype if you'd like, maybe run that 1 shot if y'all are up for it

Okay a lot has happened in the time since I posted this so I apologize for not getting back to everyone sooner. Peter would love to play a one shot if that's alright, need to get my friend up to see if he'd be good for it. if we could schedule a day it would help me us out a lot.
