Sound going to wrong sound device

I have 2 sound cards, an onboard card and a headphone.  All my audio is set to pipe into my headset but the voice audio form roll20 keeps going to the onboard card, ignoring the windows settings.  I am connecting through the latest version of chrome, if i goto youtube or something in chrome that audio goes to the correct place.

The voice audio uses WebRTC. Chrome should be making the webrtc audio come out of the "default" output. Since that isn't the case I would try closing your browser and reopening it after you've plugged in your headphones. My guess is that the "default" isn't updating because you plugged in the headphones while the browser was already open.

Tried that a few times, even tried rebooting the computer with the default changed, all audio that i tried except the voice from roll20 went to the headset.  Its strange.  This is only a recent issue, within the last couple of weeks, previously I was able to change the default on the fly and it would swap over.  Has there been recentish updates to webRTC that perhapse broke functionality?

Has your audio drivers updated recently or a windows update happen? Sometimes that causes problems that are hard to track down.
Yea I'm sure windows has been updated a in there at some point, but just security ones I beleive no change in other drivers that I'm aware of, i beleive a couple of chrome updates have happend as well.

Could you try a different browser, like FireFox, and see if you still have the same issue? The most recent version of Chrome (v50) currently has issues with WebRTC, but the current beta (v51) fixes at least the issues we know of. You could also try using the beta version of Chrome to see if that fixes things.
Chrome beta seems like it fixed it in the quickie trial.

That's good to know. Your issue was different than most people's issues, so I wasn't sure if it would make a difference. I guess they are fixing all things WebRTC with the next patch. Since this seems to have fixed your issue I'm going to go ahead and close this thread. If the issue comes back or something else pops up feel free to open a new thread.
