Hi there, I'm very new to roll20, but have a few dungeons and dragons campaigns. Is there a way I can either transfer them over to roll20 (without re-creating them) or get them for free? Thank you!

If you own the material, you can use various methods to transfer that info to roll20 for your games. If these are hard copy modules, books, etc. you'll probably have to scan them and import as images. Maybe use an OCR process for text... If these are in an electronic format(pdf), you'll probably want to come up with a conversion method ( pdf2jpg or similar). Depending on the format and your pdf reader/editor, you may be able to copy/paste or screen cap and crop into Roll20. Roll20 only imports pdf's one page at a time. ;-( Hope this helps. Cheers

Thanks! The only problem is that I own the books. So does that mean I'll have to scan all 160 pages onto my computer?

You shouldn't need to scan any books in order to play on Roll20. Roll20 is just your virtual table top. You might need to create characters to represent the monsters you're using, or create maps to play on, but the rules in general shouldn't need to be imported. If you haven't gone through the tutorial yet, that might clear things up for you: https://wiki.roll20.net/Tutorial You might also find some useful information in the videos: https://wiki.roll20.net/Introduction_To_Tabletop_R...

You only need to scan things that you may want to show to your players or to have available "on-screen". Depending on the system/version, there may already be free resources that can be found online. I have ran a Pathfinder campaign on roll20 from a printed AP. I scanned maps and few images, but most everything else was kept off-line. I did create npc's and monsters using the roll20 PF sheet.

A Google search will find maps suitable for D&D. I've downloaded maps for Adventurers League adventures for example. My 13th Age Alliance games use the maps from the adventure PDF extracted with GoodReader on iPad and converted to JPG with Preview on MacBook. So it's easy.
Thank you all so much!
