Homebrewed games

Is it just me or does no one want to play without a rule book  i'm in 2 games which both of them are still running but only just because we need more players. we don't find any because no one likes a non lore friendly completely homebrewed game without a rule book. This is just what i think the biggest reason why we don't find any new players.

I've run more home brewed than system based games on roll20, but my groups are composed of player's I'm familiar with  either from the real world or other communities.  Home brewed games require a higher level of trust between players and GM and often require more work as things are still being play tested and adjusted so getting strangers interested represents a bigger hurdle.  Additionally most people when they search LGF are doing so for a specific system so will never even notice your posting.  I'd suggest posting about your game in a forum that caters more to RPG world building and trying to recruit players from there.  Good luck!
